Explanation of April Fool's

I have a confession to make: We are not real.

We are the fabrications of two staff members' imaginations. We have been planned for nearly a month.

So the real identities of the characters are as follows:

Elrond = Kakashi
Phil G = Kakashi
JJ = Kakashi (and to a lesser extent, batman555)
Gabriella = batman555 (and to a lesser extent, Kakashi and Krozar)
Pollo Loco = batman555
Zeonn = batman555

Our characters were carefully timed to be online simultaneously and at their respective timezones to reduce suspicion.

For those of you who welcomed us, thank you for your hospitality. I know it was probably hard for you to get used to new ownership, but we were pretty well-received. Unfortunately, we'll have to disappear now and you can find us in the Treasure Chest.

Goodbye, and it was fun meeting you all.

Hey guys,

Thanks for being great sports for the most part. Most people were fooled, some weren't. There is no point saying if you were or weren't, only you yourselves know the truth to that.

Please read it again, as it is true. 

I did indeed cancel those servers, and we are $200-$400 short every month. Even after posting that thread we received $95 only out of the $300 target, which goes to show the mentality of a lot of members on this forum. Taking things for granted being one of them.

Whilst this was an April fools prank, it could also be a real possibility if in the future i am forced to call it a day. I would like to thank the people that did donate and i am still expecting those that said they would to do so, because that target is still there to meet.

I'd like to thank Batgirl for her help in pulling this off and other various peeps for keeping it a secret. Most of the mods were not aware of the prank (Kazman being one of them.)

As for the mod applications, that has to be the icing on the cake. Especially Question 5

I will however keep those applications and call on them in the future when positions open up. So they weren't a total waste.

The problem with "jokes" is people tend to not believe you when there is a real problem. Most would not contribute that close to April 1 due to the fact that they were not sure if it was real or not.
