Hello, fellow debators.

It's me; ~Mirage~ *flexes subtly*

After browsing through this section of the forums and realizing the amount of misinformation being shared along with countless irrational posts, a friend of mine suggested that I instate some rules.

At first, I figured this section didn't really need that but after weighing the situation, I couldn't agree more.

Yes...Apparently, even this section is in need of some rules. [albeit only a handful]

They are as follows. Pay attention because any thread/reply that I find violating the rules will be deleted. Furthermore, if I feel a particular member is being adamant about breaking the rules, they will be dealt with accordingly.

Posting a VS thread

- Please refrain from creating irrational threads

[example: "Itachi vs Konohamaru"]

Don't look at me like that. I've seen it happen. =\

- Please refrain from creating pointless threads

[example: "Kunoichi Battle: Who's boobs are the biggest!?"]

Yes, I've seen this one happen too. =\

- Duplicate threads are a no-no. Mistakes happen and I understand that but, when in doubt, just be mindful of the Search feature.

Replying to a VS thread

Think before you post/vote and be logical in your approach. Give reasons for your arguement and support them with facts based on the anime and/or manga. Personal opinion doesn't account for much in situations like these.

The following is not allowed:

- Posting in favor of a character just because you don't like the other(s) he/she is pitted against

[example: "I really dislike Sasuke. <insert reasons that have nothing to do with Sasuke battling his respective opponent here> therefore, I say <insert Sasuke's respective opponent here> wins."

Or

"I hate Sasugay! Sasugay sux ass!!1 I pick Naruto cuz he pwnz!!0nezor!" ]

- Posting in favor of a character just because you "like" him/her more than the other(s) he/she is pitted against

[example: "Hrm...I'm rather partial to Temari; I find everything about her simply orgasmic. Temari vs Sasuke? No contest...Temari wins, IMO."

Or

"w00t! Temari rox my sox! She is teh seks! She easily pwnz Sasugay!1one1!"]

- Posting in favor of a character just because you're unfamiliar with the other(s) he/she is pitted against

[example: "Gai would win! Who's Shin Akuma? >_>"]

- Posting one sentence replies. Unless it's something constructive it will be considered spam

[example: "Gaara would win because of the insident with Naruto", "Why is that?"]

Polls

As for topics with polls, can't we all agree that reading the posts of the thread that has a poll option before you vote is the rational thing to do? I mean, what's the sense of voting so hastily, only to have your outlook swayed by the replies that shed more light on the capabilities and situations of each character involved in a battle?

Another thing, [and I can't stress this enough] the Search feature is your friend. =0

Although Bleach's power scale is the closest we've come to Dragonball, please refrain from making
{insert Bleach character name here} Vs {insert Dragonball/Z/GT character name here}
battle threads.

Added rule to Replying to a VS thread

- Posting one sentence replies. Unless it's something constructive it will be considered spam

[example: "Gaara would win because of the insident with Naruto", "Why is that?"]

Any posts like this will be deleted.

- Saying that because of the relationship between characters stop them from harming each other is not a valid point. This is a battle arena, when someone is put up against each other for a battle relationships are left out. It's a matter of strenght and skill.

[example: "Naruto won't hit Sakura because he loves her", "The Hulk wouldn't attack the Sentry because the Hulk is like a child around him."]
