THE FIFA WORLD CUP FINAL--WORLD CHAMPIONS ITALY!!! -ITALY 1 vs 1 FRANCE (5-3 ITALY!!)

The time has come, the pinnacle of the last month filled with high entertaining and exciting football has arrived. The Finals are upoun us.
Two teams that where probally written off at the earlier stages of the World Cup has shocked everyone by playing great football and beating some Big Names and Favourites to reach this Finals.

Story of the final is France and the Aging Master Zidane who will be playing the last match of his glorious career. In the group stages they looked like they would repeat the disasterous 2002 world cup showing where they went out without scoring a goal or winning a match. But a win against Togo in thier final group match... put them thro to the second round against Spain who topped thier group and looked like being able to run away with the tournament. With Spain going 1-0 in the first half, it looked like france luck with reaching the second round would have failed them there.. But a first half goal from Frank Ribbery and 2 second half goals from veterns Viera and Zidane, they progressed to a quarterfinal meeting with Reigning Champions Brazil. Zidane from the get go made this match his, stamping his authority on the game from the get go, and the Brazillians could do nothing to stop the Master, Zidane supplied the pass to fine Henry who volleyed home the only goal of the Match 1-0. Sending France to the Semifinal where they would meet Portugal. While i myself didn't watch the Match, Zindane stamped his name on the match once more with a 33rd Minute Penalty which remained as the only goal of the game... and was more than enough to send France to the Finals where they would meet Italy.


Italy started this compaign nicely with a 2-0 win over Ghana but in there second match against the US, they hit a small snag, tying the match 1-1 with an own goal scored by Christian Zaccardo. To this day, it is the only goal to have scored on Italy for the finals. The match was ugly with 3 red cards... and the only one given to an Italian player Daniele Di Rossi was made into a 4 match ban. Italy's final group game was against the Number 2 Ranked team at the Finals Czech Republic. Italy made light work and defeated them 2-0. To win their group where they faced Austraila who where runner ups of thier own group. In the Match, Matteratzi was giving a red card for a strong challenge and Italy played with 10 men for the whole second half, in which Australia failed to make use the extra man on the field to score. In time added on to the second half, Italy was awarded a penalty by the refree who did not have the advantage of Video replays... which showed no foul on the play. The resulting penalty was scored by Francessco Totti which turn out to be the decider of the game. ((too sleep now to conitnue with the rest of the follow up. if anyone likes to continue it where i left off... go right ahead. i will however fix before match starts.

Both teams were pretty awful at the start of the WC but they know when to actually play football and they did that's why they are in the final now. They have great defence on both sides and great attacking so im hopeing for a great match one to remember. Im going for a French win.

Im rooting for France but, this game is probably gonna be very close. Italy really showed how good their counterattacks are against Germany, so they'll most likely be on the offensive. If France wants to win they'll have to keep possession or else Italy will score 2 or 3 goals on them before they know it.

My guess is, which is most likely gonna be wrong, France 2-1 Italy.
