Clappers probably right OpT. I think Pein takes advantage of the dead bodies brains. The zombies brain handles the individual details of carrying out tasks just as a KB is totally independent of the original shinobi. The difference is that the zombies are telepathically connected to the original through those chakra antenna. If experience and information was shared immediately on an ongoing basis without dispersing the KB that would be a similar situation.

That definitely sounds like it could be it. I probably wouldn't be all that surprised if either of those bodies were to go completely limp if none of those chakra receivers were on the inside.

The Rinnegan, on two occasions, has been used to screw around with the chakra of Pain's opponent. Both incidents involved them being stabbed by those weird black weapons that pain uses and then Pain used the Rinnegan to screw around with them. So those weapons are stuck into someone, even a dead body, and Pain uses the Rinnegan to regulate their chakra and thus also is given the ability to fully animate them for combat. Those weird piercings -- those black weapons stuck into kakashi and jiraiya and the rinnegan are clearly all connected in some way. The piercings stuck all throughout the body (only react to the Rinnegan) is how more than one shinobi is able to possess the Rinnegan. Pain was able to transfer over Itachi's bloodline limit and the real abilities of Kisame's Samahada sword.

Were enough piercings stuck into a dead Kakashi, the same thing that Pain did to disrupt his Raikiri would likely also be used to give Kakashi himself a Rinnegan. Not quite sure how that would ultimately work out with Kakashi's left eye being a Sharingan that he can't even de-activate. Piercings weren't needed for Itachi and Kisame because they weren't dead and had to play a small role in the technique. I figured out Pain's secret. Once a dead body has been lined with those chakra receiving rods they can become animated by the Rinnegan's ability to regulate chakra and are themselves given the Rinnegan, each body is thus in a permanent genjutsu and all six minds, along with their eyes, become interconnected. That is how he is able to command them and how each is able to carry on independently of the other 5. The substitute for a dead body receiving the Rinnegan is Chapter 420 Page 9 (Both Rinnegan eyes show up behind Kakashi and screw with his ability to properly perform the Raikiri) Remember how Sasuke's sharingan showed up in that giant snake's eye during at the very end of the Deidara fight because he was put in a genjutsu? That's the situation for all six of pain's bodies.

Why did the first animal realm just suddenly go dead and stop responding? He charged into Jiraiya's barrier which screwed with the chakra circulatory system put in place by the chakra receivers inside the body and regulated by the Rinnegan. The Rinnegan combined with those piercings can pretty much serve as a replacement for a ninja's chakra circulatory system. Nagato will probably have none of those piercings and if he does, they were simply the main energy source that transmitted the chakra to the chakra transmittors in the six bodies.

The chakra flow can be increased or decreased by manipulating these tenketsu.

Is that what Pain used his Rinnegan to do to kakashi and Jiraiya? Kakashi was stabbed perfectly in one of his tenketsu by Pain.

The chakra circulatory system is called a system of pathways and the first to have the Rinnegan was known as the Sage of the Six Paths. The max number of faux chakra circulatory systems that can be created by Pain is six.

With Itachi and Kisame there was no need for the chakra transmitting rods to be in place on those 2 sacrifice bodies to provide the chakra because that was taken care of by Itachi and Kisame and it was sent to the 2 bodies by Pain and he used his Shouten No Jutsu to make the bodies that received the chakra into perfect clones of Itachi and Kisame.

Oh and I forgot about something pa said during chapter 420 page 13.

"You can only use sage mode when you have lots of allies to give you time" So even if Naruto doesn't end up using the Kage Bunshin trick that I'm thinking of -- Creating a Kage Bunshin let it go off somewhere and gather enough Natural Energy to turn itself into Sage Mode, then disperse so it can benefit the real Naruto.

If Naruto needs lots of allies, Naruto can create all the allies he needs. He can create a thousand shadow clones of himself and simply just hide amongst them or retreat somewhere and just go into Sage mode himself. Pa seems to not realize just how much Naruto uses Kage Bunshin for. I was originally getting annoyed with the Kage Bunshin stuff, but when I think about it, I don't mind because every shinbo has their own unique fighting style and shadow clone is apart of naruto's. How many other shinobis do you see out there that use kage bunshins the way naruto does? For some shinobi that has never seen naruto before, seeing him perform a rasengan or a rasenshuriken the way he does must be a trip.

Naruto does some pretty genius things without even realizing it sometimes. The way he rodeo whipped Sasuke into that mountain was just genius.

Everyone works like that though. Most people it's with bloodlines but almost everyone basis all their techniques around one.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this arc is going to hell?

I mean Konohamaru is a kid full of borderline innocence and most likely genuinely doesn't know where Naruto is. Granted this Pain seems to capitalise using the Hell summon as a judge of liars and the impure and probably has other attacks relevant to the other hells, but a kid vs a judge of evil is a nice spin if entirely unrealistic. And let's face it, will get bailed out, so let's not go insane yet.

The major fight of this arc is most likely going to be Yahiko vs. Tsunade. Of course the victory is already Pain's; I could say he loses all bodies and at the end of the day it will mean nothing because we've got the idea Nagato's building a collection in the Hidden Rain, which is where Naruto will inevitably end up. Konoha gets messed up and loses either Tsunade (who can't be doing too great if she's giving her chakra for all of Katsuya) or Kakashi.

Although for Naruto's "allies," I genuinely think this might be Sakura, Sai and the rest of the new generation when he takes Rikoudou Pain/Nagato on himself. Notice how it's the adults and no-names that have been throwing themselves about in this arc so far.

(Though I bet Tsunade wishes she let Orochimaru kill Yahiko, Nagato and Konan now, eh.)

I'm sorry I know this has nothing to do with spoiler discussion at all but Optimus man that was the most beautiful peice of writing I've ever read man you are on point and I can totally agree with everything you wrote in that long ass post...brilliant I must say...too bad no one in the manga now knows of Pein's secret and can break it down like that...they juat have to piece everything together bit by bit...that's probably the point J-man is trying to get across more or less

Thanks a lot Sannin, glad ya liked it. It's the best reasoning I can come up with to explain what Pain is doing until it gets officially explained.

If you think about it, Tsunade could potentially be serious trouble for Pain because of her vast knowledge of Medical Ninjutsu. She'll probably be exactly the person that would be able to figure out if there is anything suspicious about the bodies.

Konahamaru's actions show what effect Naruto is having on the village. His standing up to Pain is almost pure symbolism for Naruto's personality, his "will of fire," spreading. He's about to make his grandfather proud.

If he wins without aid, It'll have to be a Deus Ex. There's no way he's going to win, as he obviously hasn't passed Ebisu and oh look who just got owned. I won't believe it until I read it, and if it happens there better be a dang good explanation for it. I fully count on him losing, but saving Ebisu by buying him time for help to arrive.
