Old....and besides this is DB not Z. All that flying around crap comes much latter in the story. This one is alot more believable to make because they actually use martial arts rather than punch, kick, punch, kick energy blast etc.

DO ETTTTT. New name separates it from the continuity of the anime. This could be a retelling of the orginal story or remake. If this does good enough hopefully we'll see more. Just like they have Z/GT this could be Z/GT/Evolution

Like the Transformers movie, I refused to take it as straight continuity. As long as it retains the DB spirit, I'll be ok. Really people, name one big movie like Iron Man, etc. that stays 100% true to the source material.

"Evolution"? 20th century fox cannot be serious? this isn't underworld. jesus, i can't wait for watchmen to crush the opening weekend of this film, they not even doing the movie adaptation any justice, at least speed racer stuck with the original matieral.

When have I bashed Dragonball? You must mean that thread where were were talking about the DBZ animated special and I was having it out with Mrge. I don't hate Dragonball....I just don't think it's the best thing since the discovery of sex. I think it's overhyped by the old heads that still think the older stuff is better than the new. Only reason I'm looking forward to this movie is cause I wanna see what spin they're gonna put on the DBZ. I wanna see how Americans would retell the story had we have made it. Plus I get tired of the same old retelling or the story, Raditz saga, Saiyan saga, Namek saga, Frieza saga....same shit. At least this wil be fresh and new so it's something to look forward to even if your a old head or a new fan. Eating the same thing everyday eventually gets old...same with anime.

I'll admit the time I openly have voiced my opinion on it was in that thread against Mrge but even then I don't bash it in every thread that comes up about it. It's not really even bashing. I just don't think that DBZ is the greatest anime of all time. Sure it was good for it's time when good action animes did'nt know how to blend romance, comedy and other elements. I might get shot for this but I think Naruto is better than DBZ. It managed to give us the typical Shounen formula but with an actual coherant plot, a little romance, some good BAWWWW moments and interesting characters. DBZ was good for it's time but now it's time for a new king to step forward. That's all. Feel free to disgree Mcgee.
