It does'nt spoil anything. If you been keeping up with the info coming out on the game you'd know that this Star Ocean takes place after a nuclear war and pushes people to find a new planet. Anyway if you have'nt played Star Ocean 1 and 2 then I suggest you do you...you.....maget.

I skipped the first two but loved the 3rd. Twas very epic.

No real desire to play the 1st and second. Similar to Final Fantasy 7-9 I want to play them and see the story first hand but I no longer have a playstation system for one and two even if I did I dont have the patience for their tedious and somewhat annoying gameplay. Its hard to go back and play old gen games especially when your not that into it.

Final Fantasy 2, 4, 6 and 10 were the only ones I played and enjoyed thoroughly.

How gay. That's right. Your PS3 does'nt play PSone games. I just said play them for storyline completion. Their gameplay is'nt tedious. Hell you could just emulate them on the PC. I own the actual Star Ocean 2 games which is rare as hell now. Game is actually still good. It plays like a old ass Tales of Abyss.

Working for a living sucks. Halo 3, COD4, Gears 2, LFD, take up all of my time when Im not studying or sleeping.

From one of those screens it appears like you can switch out characters in a middle of a battle.

I love a broken battle system just as much as the next Tales/Star Ocean fan but that'll make things a bit too easy...it'll be a fresh edition but still.

Yeah, it shows the different worlds and more gameplay. I'm really liking it so far. Battle system looks like a lot of fun. Fast paced as well.
