I tought Bjorn ate a mushroom to enter berserker mode. Might just be an assumption of mine tho. I know vikings used to eat a mushroom to go berserk, in norwegian its called fleinsopp and is a highly potent psychadelica.

are you serious? there was plenty of character development, and an interesting though not action packed fight. Askeladd was badass and I can't wait to find out what kind of knowledge he's about to drop on Thorfinn. Don't forget that Floki is at this base too. Things should be heating up very soon.

Not much action wise, what's been mostly going on in the manga recently, but i actually like this direction. It seems that askeladd is going to teach thorfinn how to, not necessarily beat him, but to control his emotions in battle which will make him a much better fighter.

People nowadays only care about the action.. I agree with you. Plenty of development for one chapter. What kind of developments do you expect in just one chapter. Nothing ground breaking is going to happen without a build up to it.

I just caught up on this one. It was enjoyable for the sheer bad-assery, but a lot of things left me just scratching my head. The first chapter actually turned me off quite a bit, I didn't get back into it for another few chapters after that.

It reminds me a lot of Berserk, just without any of the depth.

I'm still trying to decide if the author really believes what Canute is preaching, or if he's setting him up to have misunderstood everything. But the constant comparisons to Thors make me sigh, because they're really two totally different characters. How does he have Thors eyes, if he acts entirely different?

The writing is rocky, but the dialogue is strong for the most part. I don't think the mangaka understands too much about what he writes on, but it works if you imagine the series as having no relevance to how things were / are on the Earth. I'd recommend it just for the fun factor, personally. I am curious as to what will happen with Leif, mostly because I want to know if he will either A) turn Thorfinn into an actual character or B) manage to inform his family that Thorfinn is still alive.
