Rukongai: The Peasantry of Soul Society

Axel let out a yawn, Kaisen hadn't died which was good, and Nicho was still a complete twat, all was right with the world.

"Paul" Axel spoke, a rugged looking chap at the private bar waved his hand.

"Yeh Go'v?" Axel beckoned him over and he hastily obeyed.

"Get some people toghether to repair that back room, I had to make a mess of it, oh and give notice to all the staff, SHinigami aren't to be allowed into the bar, Rukongai residents only, if they're making hassle for you deal with them, or give me a shout" Paul nodded as he strode back over to his bar.

[Dark Janza]

A spear had struck Janza's leg... he even lengthened it, but he had been protected by reiatsu armor and some water. That, and the guy just didn't seem to have his all in the attack. It wasn't surprising in the least considering how he walked straight into Janza's trap. But it did throw off his balance slightly.

Anyway, it seemed that Johon had been of some use, for information that is. Even while his body prepared for his attack he was thinking of some new tactics/tricks to go along with his shikai. Perhaps he could create more definite blades with a combo of water and reiatsu blades. That, or maybe he could carry around some imitation zanpaktous to throw people off.

Oh well. It is time to act. Right at the crest of his power, Janza noticed that Johon was conveniently in a straight line to match with Janza and Thor. He would be in the way, but Johon could handle himself. What was slightly nagging at the back of his mind was the presence of an academy level person next to the captain. I hope he doesn't die.

As that thought left his mind a shout escaped him at the same time, "Feel despair as the waves crash down." Too bad he didn't know the name of the attack. He heard that knowing the attacks name added power. Oh well... there wasn't a lot of control behind his attack as the water that had retreated came back with a renewed fury and a scary bit of speed.

The front of the wave seemed to have the most power, but the water spraying off to the sides clouded his vision while his attack bore down on his opponent. Too late did he realize that Thor had readied himself. Perhaps he had a defense prepared for an attack like this. Maybe he had a counter attack... or simply an attack to hit Janza while he was hit as well.

The moment of truth...

Souji had made it into the bulk of Rukongai, the hell's butterfly returning to him with the message from Johon. His decision was made in an instant; he would help no one. Instead Souji decided to float around, trying to get a fix on the various contacts that would help with the locating of the vault.

His position, in relation to the position of the other members of the 2nd, would make an isosceles triangle, with Souji being up-wards of everyone else. Here he could not sense many strong enteties, but he was just beginning to open up his range of perception. He'd find something soon enough...

[One baddie for Johon coming up XD]

This particular spirit went against the ideals of the others. His was a quest for vengeance, not one to retain freedom. How ever looked at his movements were more about killing that disabling. Even so, it kept it's distance, allowing it's construct to do what was needed.

A small scorpion approached the pair, the ones that were watching and positioned itself on the weaker of the two. Upon this shinigami, no this student, the scorpion stuck, stinging quickly as it fell from the student's body. Moving quickly, the scorpion change forms, growing into the shape and size of a bear, striking out at Johon in order to take the focus away from the student, Arashi.

The poison would cloud Arashi's judgement, making him unpredictable in who he attacked, but it would also run down his body and soul, causing him great pain, and eventually, death.

[Sorry Clay, but you are there, thought that you should be involved too ]

Arashi was watching the fight when he felt something sting his shoulder. He quickly turned around to see the scorpion start to transform into a bear. The initial pain angered Arashi. "WHITE LIGHTNING!" He fired the lightning bolt at the bear.

As the soon as he fired, Arashi felt burning around the area of the sting. The pain was intense. He dropped to a knee. He looked around but everything was beginning to haze.

Johon felt the student approach but he was watching the battle. His eyes watched careful not sure if he was going to step in or not. His body itched to move but he had to relax himself. As the battle ebbed to the final conclusion or that is what Janza through. He was throwing everything at the pair.

Please with that Johon turned smiling he said, "Cubs always wanting more help tough love. A lion would throw its cub off of a cliff to see if it was strong enough to survive. They have to learn to use there own claws..." There was no point if JOhon helping the warrior ageist such easy pray. Really was surprise that Janza was putting up such a good fight. Turning to the student he tilted his head as the bear appeared in front of him. The captain moved quickly as the student attacked the bear. The bear moved at him and it was quick.

He knew by judging by the method of chosen attack and by the reiatsu present the power of his enemy. He grabbed the student and flash stepped back 20 ft. He made space quickly and with out trouble. He looked back already thinking of counter attacks. His reiatsu was masked so the student must have been drawing in the enemy or the fight. He bit his lip and pulled all his hair into a pony tail.

He then said quickly, "I dont know how you got here or why you are here. but explain yourself quickly also keep to this distance and support. I cannot say if i can protect you fully but if you stay this far. i might not kill you with the force of my reiatsu or any stray attacks. Please keep a 20ft distance now that is an order. you are about to have the pleasure of seeing a captain fight. Please learn from this as well. If I happen to be alive at the end of this fight i can talk more of what ever you wanted. Here...” he handed the student an ear piece this way if he truly need to talk to him he could.

His eyes turned to the bear and smiled reaching out with his left hand. Forest green reiatsu formed upon his hand it moved like plasma liquid. Forming upon his hand long claws formed upon his hands. His wicked long claws dripped with venom formed from reiatsu. Johon started to build up his reiatsu and dashed forward raising his claw hand.

Thor tried to meet the attack with his own as the lightning stuck the wall of water and power. He felt his power strike he pushed forward but couldn’t help but feel happy. He had met a worthy warrior. His attack was a chain lightning attack a large body of lightning went in.

But he was over powered as the attack washed over him. He felt his body being lifted and thrown as he crashed through on wall and the next. The spear welder pushed off and spinning his spear. Pushing what little room and air he had creating room. He dashed to behind thor. Using the warrior’s body as a shield he only received a third of the attack.

His body started to disappear it was his fate to return to the vault. With out release of the sword his soul was bound to this world. He looked up and said, "You are strong young one learns well." Behind Thor thrown to the side was the shear wielder. His body was disappearing into nothingness.

The spear wilder was bruised and bones were broken. He was behind Thor was wasnt downed at all. He looked up as he leaned upon the spear to keep himself standing. His breathing was labored and his body broken. His ears were pointed and his eyes were golden. There were scales upon his skin as his hair grew longer and golden.

He said between breaths, "My job is not done yet**breath** 2nd division dog. **breath** I dont know why you friend wont help you**breath** but you will fall here...**breath** dam you..." The warrior lifted his head trying to gather himself.

Johon then smiled as he flash stepped moving his body as fast as he could manage. He disappeared and was behind the spear wielder. His claw hand was thrusted through his chest and blood sprayed over the ground.

The warrior gargled on his own blood and johon said, "Dont insult my division in front of me scum. I dont care if your an just a tool of other or not. He fought well but your part in this play has passed. DIE...Janza protect the student with what ever you have left. Focus and good job you have done well..."

JOhon didnt usally speak praises. The soul was still alive johon missed his vitals for a reason. This would be a suitable subject for NIcho. His venom would keep him from moving too.

Flicking his hand blood splattered upon the ground and he lifted his head saying, "where were we then..." His reiatsu rose to 3rd seat level crushing the area around him as he looked forward. Blood was in his eyes and a devilish smile upon his face.

[CLAY]

Arashi didn't even have time to blink when he was shunpo'd away by Captain Johon. He was a little in shock by Johon's speed. 'He is a Captain.' Arashi thought to himself. He winced in pain as his shoulder stung from the poison.

When the Captain asked him a question. Arashi quickly responded. "I was just relaxing when I felt some reiatsu and was extremely curious." He nodded at the order to stay 20 feet away. "Yes sir." Arashi took the communicator and turned it on. He stood up slowly and pulled out his sword. He was prepared to fight if needed.

The captain was strong. "I guess that is why he is a captain." Arashi watched as he quickly dispatched one of the foes. His reiatsu was impressive.

Arashi started to breath heavy. His brow became sweat laden. His knees began to wobble as things started to become hazy. He stumbled around before falling back into a wall. He could only hold one eye open as he used the wall to hold himself up. He could feel the poison spreading through the body. He wanted to watch the fight as much as he could so he could learn to be the best but the poison was making everything hazy. "Dammit all."

The bear immediately charged Johon. It's movements were not at great speeds, but it's strikes were effective, it's claws moving well within range of the green-haired taichou.

The attacks were swift, taking care to push back at the taichou before he could fully regain his composure. The weaker of the pair, Arashi, was taken away, but that did not mean that the bear didn't have influence over him. The poison would be setting in now, it's hallucinogens working efficiently now, creating a haze over everything the student saw. That included Janza, the taichou of the 2nd, and whatever he happened to be fighting at the time.

The 3 quick slashes towards the shinigami ended quickly, almost too quickly for a bear, but it was not done with it's attack. As the last swipe passed the area that Johon's body occupied, it disappeared, with it, the rest of the bear vanished as well. The spirit pressure of Johon made it easier for the entity to hide, it's form sliding around, staying in a neutral form until it needed to move.

[Dark Janza]

Interesting... a powerful person had actually praised him. However small the praise, it still made Janza feel good.

Protect the student, eh?

"I don't much feel like chasing you down if you decide to play the hero, so you are going to sit still," Janza said as he used small bit of the small amount of reiatsu left to start forming shackles on Arashi's ankles. He wasn't even sure if they had formed when he turned his back on Arashi, and he didn't know that the guy was under effect of hallucinogenic poisons. He was open to attack if Arashi decided to go crazy on him.

"What's your name, friend? You can call me Cipher Janza of the 2nd Division."

Charging forward much like a beast would Johon was ready the reiatsu he thrusted forth wasnt just for show. Building it with in his skin the beast lashed out. Its attack though steady held great power in them. The taichou used his claws to parry the first attack. Twisting his body and getting a low stance his eye were on his prey.

The beast moved again going for a second in quick sucession. Johon felt the claws as they ripped into the left forearm that he used to block. Feeling the claws dig in they met his armored skin that held firm.

The third attack came and Johon met it with his claws using the back side of his hand to block. Yet again the attack was turned away but the power pushed his back. Then as Johon readied himself to attack something happened. The creature attemped to hide from him. It was interesting that he was going to try and hide from the captain of the stealth and assassation division.

Johon looked over to the student and Janza and he cussed. Something smelled wrong as he kept his eyes open for his enemy. he over the com to Janza, "Call in for a 4th division battle medic. he doesnt look good. Dont move him too but watch over him. I wish i could look over him but not now. Battle calls be careful he could be targeting be careful..."

JOhon knew that an animal tended to attack the weakest first. Closing his eyes he reach out and grabbed his friend welcoming the embrace of his blade. He was much strong with it in hand. Feeling the howl of the spirits with in he knew that chiba was in the area too. Lifting his blade into an over head attack position.

All he need was one sound, movement or smell and he would have the beast. He allowed his senses to sharpen while his eyes could be tricked. His other sense including the ability to detect reiatsu couldnt.

He channeled his reiatsu into his blade as the reiatsu caused it to glow red hot. His shoulder was bleeding slightly as his claws were ready to parry.

[CLAY]

Arashi was going in and out of hallucinations. Everything was blurry. He knew he was caught up in a fight but at times he didn't know who was who. He tried to move but noticed his feet were shackled.

"Binding kidou?"

He then noticed Janza with his back to him. He could tell that it was a shinigami. He was able to focus for a bit when Janza spoke to his for the second time.

"I am Denkou Arashi."

The hallucinations took control again. Arashi thought he saw the hollow that he fought a few days ago attacking him again. He turned to his left and put up his left hand and began to do his incantation. His reiatsu began to form around his hand. His own reiatsu began to crackle like electricity, like it has before, around his arm as the kidou formed in his palm.

"Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!"

Arashi fired the blast at the imaginary hollow. The blast went straight through and struck a building. Dust and smoke went everywhere. Arashi again thought he saw the hollow. He pointed his fingers at the imaginary hollow and began to charge his reiatsu up.

The mass of the creature moved. It was quick, far quicker than the bear had been. All of it's mass moved at once in a similar manner, every gram of the creature rose up towards Janza. It was attempting to latch on, sucking out reiatsu to grow stronger.

That's what it would appear like anyway. It's true intention was to create more of the venom that it was using on the shinigami. The stronger shinigami would probably move to protect the weaker ones, but he needed to be wounded before the mass could take it down.

Not to mention that the mass, the creature, wasn't the actual zanpaktou spirit, rather it was a construct of it's power, it's specialty. It was in the best interest of the attacker to strike quickly, and that's what it did, aiming to draw the worst out of those it was attacking.
