Soul Society: 6th Division

[Spidey]

Sam sighed a little bit as he pulled his uniform form his figure as he felt a sting from the cuts on his last spar. He got to his feet and pulled out a small wrap of the cloth. He cleaned his wounds and wrapped them nicely as he slowly sat on his bed. He breathed in deeply as he replaced his uniform and grabbed his zanpaktou.

“I need to finish that training.”

He got to his feet and walked out of the room, yet again making his way to that training ground again. He pulled his zanpaktou from his belt and placed it on the ground as he walked out to the middle.

He gathered reiatsu to his arms and legs, feeling his reaitsu flow over them as he started to harden it. He concentrated more and more, letting the armor form over his body. His eyes closed as he pushed himself to the limit, gather the last bit of his reaitsu and pulled it over the rest of his body.

He felt the warmth around his body as he concentrated harder, letting the reaitsu condense around his body. He brought his hands up as he eyes opened to see the reaitsu around his hands and body.

“Finally.”

[Ravi]

Ravi stretched his arms in the morning light. He had survived the lock-down. Maybe it was a good thing. He had gotten the time to completely catch up on his studies. Learned a great bunch. Well, atleast to the extent that he wouldn't have to wonder about everything which was said.

With a smile etched into his face Ravi dropped to the dewy grass and gave 20. It went smooth, he had trained. But more importantly, he had eaten enough to stop looking famished. His strenght had returned to healthy levels. No more chicken-chest. He would show the ladies now. He glared sideway at Schteve.

'Well, haven't seen yer in a while.'

His remark was answered with a deep humn. Schteve seemed to dislike chit-chat. A tree of a man.

'Shall we look for some adventure then? Maybe a sparring partner, or some training!', Ravi had gotten exited. He hadn't talked to anyone in his three week quarantine. And he'd already forgoten why he had got it in the first place. 'Cause the sun is shining, the weather is fine.

Sam sighed a little bit as he reached into his uniform, pulling out the kidou book and flipping through the pages. He shouldn’t really have any trouble learning any of the kidou below 10. He found three that would be pretty easy, or at least he thought to learn. He moved back to the center of the training ground.

“Hmm, Destructive Art 2: Hikari no Mekurumeku (Blinding Light) doesn’t seem that hard to do or at least it doesn’t seem like it.”

Sam planted his feet into the ground as he started to gather some reaitsu, into his hands. He took a deep breath.

"The angel guarding the gates of Hell! Draw your sword and set it aflame, illuminate those within the darkness! Blasting Spell, the Second: Hikari no Mekurumeku!"

Nothing really happened, which didn’t really surprise Sam. He took another breath, gathering a little bit more reaitsu as he spoke loudly again.

A small burst of light flashed out of his hand, nothing really too special and not near the level her wanted.

“Well damn.”

Sam pulled out his book again, flipping the pages and found the second one he would try. He moved a little bit, finding a nice sized boulder.

“Perfect.”

He pulled a little bit more reaitsu, looking at the boulder head on.

“"The eye of the great dragon! Come before me, seeker of torment, lord of endings! Cast thy sight and pass thy judgement! Blasting Spell, the Eighth: Kutsuunomaru!"

Of course, nothing the first time and even at that he didn’t get anything off the second time. Beads of sweat started to form on his forehead as he took deep breaths.

“I have to get at least something out of this kidou.”

Sam looked hard, putting some more reaitsu into his hands.

“"The eye of the great dragon! Come before me, seeker of torment, lord of endings! Cast thy sight and pass thy judgement! Blasting Spell, the Eighth: Kutsuunomaru!"

A small little bit of yellow formed under the rock, nothing too great but at least it was something. Sam stood there, putting the last bit of his reaitsu into his hands as he got ready.

"From the light above I summon thy power, to strike down my enemy in a blast of holy light, blasting spell the ninth, Shotgun!"

A ball formed in his hands, but doing nothing but forming and then disappearing.

“Well that sucked.”

With that, Sam fell onto his back breathing hard as sweat dripped down his forehead to the ground.

A loud snore emitted through the halls of the 6th Division breaking the calm serenity. It was a rhythmic sound and almost seemed to be a lullaby in nature, however the off-tone gargles proved it demise.

In a secluded part of the 6th Division, Faul slept soundly on his hammock as it rocked back and forth. So at peace was he that, his snoring didn't even bother him.

[Ravi]

While Ravi was doing push-ups in the grass and practicing stick fighing on Schteve's head he heard a most familiar sound. A sound which he hadn't heard in ages, not that he had heard any sounds lately. His prison was sound proof. Ravi quickly stood up and lifted his head. Listening closely to the sound which would lead him to his fellow division member. He quickly darted in the right direction, seemingly Faul was sleeping in the same place as before.

Attracting glares from other division members he made his way to the secluded part of the division. Apparently they still hadn't gotten used to him being here, maybe it was because he had been gone for 3 weeks. The place he arrived in was bright and sunny. The grass was green and a small fountain trickled soothingly. He could already see Faul's hammock. Ravi decided to walk up to him, hopefully not breaking it this time.

'HEYA FAUL!', he shouted. 'Wake up, sleepy head!'

[Frostbitten]

Faul's head rolled to one side as Ravi's voice attempted to penetrate his serenity. But the shinigami sighed as Ravi approached. With that, Faul rose up in his hammock. "Ravi, please no flinging of shinigami into the air, thank you." He got up out of his hammock and stretched a little bit. Once the cracks were out of his system, Faul immediately began to dismantle his hammock with lightning speed. And in a flash, the hammock was back its bag over Faul's shoulders. "So how goes it, Ravi?"

[Ravi]

"I'm great! I just got out of three weeks of quarantine! My room sure got dusty in the meanwhile.", Ravi looked cheerfull. It's been a long time since he spoke to someone friendly, apart from Hara and Schteve.

"It did give me time to read up on everything around here though, no more guessing what's going on for me!", and it was true too. The amount of books he read in his room was vast, it was not like he had anyhting else to do in the meanwhile.

"And I've been working out, and learning to fight better and gained wait, and stopped looking like a famishe zombie!", now he was just rambling on. But that's what happens when spirits are high.

[Frostbitten]

"Ah that's nice." Faul said with a smile. "With such vast knowledge at your disposal, you should grow even..." Faul paused as he thought about what Ravi had said earlier. "Quarantine? What the hell were you in quarantine for?!" Faul backed off a little bit as though Ravi had a disease. He stared skeptically at Ravi as he received his answer. "Oh I see. Hm... Well, you are right about one thing. You don't look like a famished zombie anymore." Faul paused for a moment. "You look like a fed zombie."

[Ravi]

"Nononon, relax, relax, I wasn't in quarantine for no disease!", he tried the double negative and the swaying of his arms to put Faul at ease. Nothing contaminating had happened at all. everything was relatively safe.

"It's jsut that I found myself in some quarrels... the fight with you, and some other things. The higher ups decided to lock me down.", Ravi sighed. It was not like the seclusion had affected him, it was more the feeling of being unwanted which bothered him. He scratched the back of his head.

The remark of looking like a zombie made Ravi a bit shy. He couldn't help it.

"So err, yeah, Faul, do you have some spare time?", he waved at the spot were his hammock just hung.

'Could yer manage to teach me a few bits of fighting? I don't get allong with the teachers that well.."

[Frostbitten]

Faul felt better that Ravi didn't have a disease, but still the thought lingered. He also chuckled at Ravi's reaction to his comment. He was amused enough that when Ravi requested a small training session, Faul didn't brush aside the request. "Sure, I'll do a small one. And since you asked to me, I'll pick your lesson. Hakuda. No swords, no kidou, no bag of tricks... You may move as fast as you want." Faul didn't even bother to take a stance. "First come at me with all you have. Then I'll tell you what you should improve upon."

[Ravi]

(enough for today, have to get some sleep now ))

"All right then..", Ravi put off his satchel, weird noises were heard when he tossed it on the ground. He pulled off his shirt and stretched a bit.

"Allways best to prepare properly.." after stretching for a while Ravi figured he was ready. This had to go better then last time. Ohterwise he'd never forgive himself.

Ravi took a stance and noted Faul's position. He moved in a bit clsoer and decided which opening would be the best. He grunted, took a deep breath and set off with his feet. He darted off, aiming directly for Faul. But not untill the last moment did he pull up his right fist and show intention of what he was going to do. With a subtle and strong arch, the fist went for Fauls face.

Faul smiled as Ravi stretched a bit. "Good." Then things became interesting as Ravi darted at Faul. He sighed inwardly as Ravi continued his attack. "Will it be predictable?" As Ravi continued the attack, Faul knew what was about to happen. He began to bring up his arms as if to defends his torso. "Definitely a fist." Faul saw the fist coming toward his face, then twisted his arms in a bizarre way. "Too slow!" Faul dodged Ravi's fist and his both of his arms suddenly sprang toward Ravi's exposed chest. With his palms flat, he put a decent amount of strength into the attack, but not enough to leave Ravi in danger.

With the counterattack over, Faul backed off a little bit and stood once more in a standing posture.

[Ravi]

With a slight rippling in the air Ravi was sent backwards. His arms stretched out in front of him by the change of gravitation. The air was forced out of his lungs and he landed on his side. Slowly slipping to a halt. Coughing and brushing off the dirt Ravi got back on his feet again.

"That wasn't that bad...", considering the situation, he added in his mind.

"Now tell me, Faul, how do you guys do it? I know how I do it.. My tricks are there for a reason. If I take them away I get this.", he pointed at the spot below him. Then he lifted his arm at Fau and opened his palm.

"I also know I am unable to sense spirit pressure, let alone do Kidou.", the fingers of his open palm intensified.

"The spirit pressure thing is both an advantage as a liability... but we both know I have things to compensate for. And that's what I am doing."

Ravi braced himself and with a shout he seemed to be doing something with his open palm. The fingers twitched and he grabbed his arm like he was expecting something. His eyes opened widely as he glared at his palm.
Suddenly he stopped, did something happen? He moved his fingers and balled them into a fist, you could hear the bones cracking from the tension.

Ravi sighed and opened his hand again, letting go.

"But that's not for now... Not untill a few things are cleared up. I need to be stronger. I need training.", from a few feet behind him you could he a consenting humm. It was the constable.

"If therefore I ened to be your pummel boy, SO BE IT!", and with greater speed then before Ravi charged at Faul. Serpentining and dashing from side to side. Trying to create some confusion. With a jump and a spin Ravi stretched his leg and went in for a spin kick.

[Frostbitten]

"Pummel boy? I think you have the wrong person, Ravi. Remember the last time I sparred you?" Faul blocked Ravi's kick as if Ravi was standing still. "Though you were treated in the 4th, the injuries were minor." He quickly spun Ravi around and let him fall to the ground. "If it were any other shinigami, you would have been in there for days if not weeks."

The dirt was kicked up by Faul's feet as they returned to their position. "One doesn't learn and grow from a heavy pummeling and left in the hospital. That is called survival. Surviving something can be in of itself a lesson, but that doesn't guarantee that you become stronger." Faul backed off from Ravi as he continued to look down.

"However that thinking is how other shinigami believe they grow stronger. I believe they are incorrect. If you batter the body far too much, you'll die. Most of these guys think they are immortal, and act as such. Just because we are souls doesn't mean we are immortal. We run as long as we have the stamina for it. But unlike running, once we lose that stamina, we die." As Faul said those words, he could have sworn felt a long dead flame in his past crept up. But, he suppressed it.

"The real way of growing stronger is to train properly, and that doesn't involve being sent to the 4th Division after every fight. I believe you understand this principle, Ravi." Faul paused for a moment. "However I will help you grow, but I don't want to have the 4th have unnecessary work on their hands." Faul smiled. "As for my comments on your fighting skills, they are good. However, you need to hide your deception better. You'll do well, Ravi. Just live long enough to prove me right." With that, Faul made his way out of the courtyard.

[akio-sama]

Ebonvarli stepped through the gates. Mental images flashed of her last time here but this time she did not shrink away. Time had given her more confidense.

Looking about she started to walk inside. she had a reason to be here and she would not be swayed.

where are you i wonder?

her blue eye watched everything.

[Shoto]

The messenger flew through the division like a warm breeze, barely seen by anyone. He arrived at Faul's location and approached him and the prisoner who was allowed to roam throughout the division.

"Faul-san, Shoto Fukutaicho has given you an immediate assignment. We have been receiving several reports of brazen vandalism, robbery, and murder within the Hazumi district. However, the victims refuse to cooperate with our team. Even worse is that we have lost several investigators to random hollow attacks. We are requesting help from the seated members of the 6th Division. Any seated member will do." Anial said calmly but with a hint of urgency.

After delivering his message he vanished. Off to attend to more of his duties.
