like final fantasy series is one of the top selling games. the rpg and story attracts people but on the way, graphic just gets better because time flows. and people want the new graphics because i guess that's more of the new stuff than the story.

Personally, I think good graphics can make a game more enjoyable. It gets you into the game more.

I feel the same for the most part, but the sound is the most important thing IMO. I would hate to play a game with no sound but looks great. The best thing about the PS3 is all the people who waited for them at the walmart that i work at . It was amazing to see all of them waiting at the back of the store and get pampered, lucky jerks. I don't know if any of you heard but some peopel sold their spots they were saving. I was told that one person sold their spot for $2,000. That doesn't get me that angry, it's just that i didn't think of it.

Great sound is just as important as great graphics. I know I would have liked Megaman X4 more if the voice acting didn't suck.

ps3 controllers use battery rite?? and how much controllers slots does the ps3 have? 2? or 4?

^they use an internal battery that charges with the usb cable, if the battery dies you have to chuck the remote. the ps3 supports 7 simultaneous controllers using blue tooth i think.

actually no u dont "chuck" the remote, u can send it in to sony for free for them to replace it, or u can just go out buy a battery and change it yourself

and yes its 7 controllers bluetooth

Edit:Just got a ps3 on sunday, so happy i found one, and i bought resistance yesterday, so far no lag or glitches, its awsome how much stuff goes on and the system doesnt lag.

I opened my early Christmas gift today and got the PS3. Well, I'm probably gonna get Resistance tomorrow, so all I can do for now is stare at it. Btw, I heard something about it not playing in certain TVs or it has to be a certain sized screen. Any info on that?

umm if u are getting resistance want to join a clan? ive had my ps3 since dec. 4th, only froze 2 times, (all due to resistance)

and about the disc look, its just a disc, nothing much about it except the bottum is light blue

Got my ps3 on the day it came out I have not had any problems with it and my blu ray works, 14 hours I waited outside for it wouldn't have waited anymore than that though.

got one for x-mas. love tony hawks project 8. dont like resistence so much. i'll try to buy fight night sometime this weekend.

it gets hot way too fast. surprised it hasnt caught on fire yet.

I agree with this person ^.^ Everyone's arguing about how Sony is taking us all for a ride and that the ps3 is gonna be a total flop but didn't they brag about the ps2? That console outsold all of it's competitors. As for the ds vs. psp conflict the psp plays movies, music, and goes wirelessly onto the internet the games aren't too good but I think those reasons alone are good enough to buy it. Now backk to the ps3 it all depends on your point of view. Launch games for a console usually do suck you can't judge a console by what the companies tell you or by it's launch games, or at least that's what I think. I personally (if I ever won the lottery) would get all three consoles if I could just because I'm one of those gamers. (I want the xbox 360 because of Halo 3 and I want the Ps3 for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and the Wii just looks plain fun.) But that's my opinion which is exactly what this topic is about, expressing our opinions freelu on what we think of the ps3.

personally i dont have a problem with ps3 because i am a sony fan, they have launched many successful games in the past and thats what makes sony so legendary, for the ps3 i will wait il it drops in price

wow, how can u not like resistance lol, its the #1 game out atm. for the ps3. im waiting for like gt 5 and mgs4 or ff13 lol but yea there are alot of games comming next year that ill be ready for.

btw if u guys didnt know yet, there is suppose to be a major update in march for the xmb

I played PS3 for a while earlier today and i wasnt impressed. The graphics arent any better then 360 and, so far 360>PS3 in game titles. Im definetly waiting for a price drop to buy the PS3.

you do know that you are comparing 1st gen games to 3rd gen games..... if u think about it what console had the best graphics when it FIRST came out, it took time to improve it. not only that alot of games got delayed or rushed.

as for the price, its not really that bad, after u look at how much a 360 cost to have all the features of the ps3, also that sony isnt gaining money from any of the consoles but losing instead around 200-300 dollars on each.

I know that the games were of diiferent gens, i was taking that into account.(And just so u know i didnt play it for 5mins at Walmart or something, my friend has it and i played it for a long time). I wasnt impressed by the whole presentation of the PS3, i dont like its design(Which is hard for me to admit b/c i have always been a strong sony supporter), the controller feels light and cheap to me(This will most likely go away after playing for a couple of days), and not to mention after a while the system gets hot enough to fry an egg on.

And as to the price, unless u rich $500 for just the system is alot of money. I wonder if they made a version w/o the blu-ray player if it would be alot cheaper...anyway, i will probably wait for the fist price drop to get it, maybe like $400, $350.

P.S- Cant u get a HD-Dvd player for 360 for $100?

Ok. My brother has both a 360 and ps3 at home right? and i've played both. we have a 27 inch sd SOny ty (SD= standard definition, not hd) and for the 360 we have gears of war, need for speed most wanted, call of duty 3 and demos of lots of games lol. For ps3 we have demos and Resistance. Ok. Problems with 360 include system freezing, and lag. and lots of online disconnections. Even in 4 player gears of war matches.... on ps3 on the other hand i go online with 40 people on resistance. LAG FREE. Ps3 has no rumble. i don't really notice that, but my brother hates it. My brother likes the multimedia capabilites with the ps3, he sticks his ps3s memory stick pro duo thing into the ps3 and it can play the music, videos and look at pictures in a sweet slide show thing. so yeah. My brother likes ps3 for its "multimedia" IMO tho, xbox 360 has a better user friendlyness... like when ur in a game u can press the middle button and it play the music, look at messages, friends, gamerscores and such. ps3, u can'tdo any of that. But i hope ps3 changes it to more like the 360 way.. although the XMB looks nicer than the COLOURFULNESS of the 360's dashboard, the dashboard works better in lots of ways.


BUt that's just my two cents
