I got my PS3 for Christmas, I have the 20GB so I don't think I can bring PS2 saves over can I? But i've really enjoyed it. I have Resistance and a friend and I played for 24 hours and beat Co-op twice. I also have Call of Duty 3 and I have to say that the graphics on that game are awesome, not to mention online is really fun on both games.

My uncle has one, i played it. It wasent bad but i still enjoy the wii more. Though it came with telladega nights and that movie rocks!!

I got one for christmas, and so far there hasn't been anything wrong with the backward compatibility. The only thing you have to do is within the first minute or so of playing a ps2 game is press the PS button. I guess its to register the controller as not being a dualshock 2 but still being compatible. I even played MGS3 online and it allowed me to do it without any lag or anything. So I wouldn't have any worries about backwards compatibility.

I has PS3 now. I searched and did'nt see any threads on it so we might as well have one. I got the 60 gb and damn this thing is smooth. It took me 10 mins to find out out how to turn the thing on. I broke myself just buying the system but the downloadable demos of games on the Playstation newtwork are enough to tide me over. Who's thinking about getting a PS3 soon. We got Home, Littlebigplanet and FF13 on the way....plenty insentive for people to get one when the price drops.

i'm hoping to get one my parents are going overseas soon so they might get one duty free. I'm pysched for ffxiii. only reason not to get one overseas is that we cant play bluray movies from my country

Suckarama. I went ahead and got this in advance. I scoped out some games coming out soon that look pretty sweet. It's region free so I'm looking forward to actually getting my hands on some Japanese titles. The XMB is like the PSP which rocks so hard already. The PSP thread is a hit so once people start picking up PS3's we'll be able to play online and dump off screennames here. There is already a site about homebrew and hacks on the PS3. that thread hasnt been active for a few months probably the reason why it isnt seaerchable for you a big reason why my parents are considering getting it overseas is because of the no regions for the games. and its cheaper to buy in north america than getting a PAL version. although the pal version is different

It kinda freaked me out when I found out the PS3 had firmware. I was like "OH SHI-" I know they're gonna have some serious hacks for the PS3....I'm just waiting for the time where I can download games to my PS3 and play them like I do my PSP.
