GBA EMULATOR!



The juggernaut of an emulator porting machine that is Zx-81 has released another version of his PSPVBA GameBoyAdvance emulator for the PSP, bringing it up to version 1.0.5. PSPVBA has shown unprecedented speed and compatibility out of all previous GBA emulators for the PSP and just shows what you can do with excellent porting skills. As usual, this new version has loads of new features to make GBA emulation on your PSP even smoother and bug free! Here's the changelog:
New turbo modes (more speed)
Added SFX enable/disable option (can be used to increase speed)
Bug fix for BMP screenshots (no more need to flip the image)
Improved sound quality (the "ARM tick" can be changed to prevent sound distorsion)

The SELECT key is now available for user keyboard mapping (but don't forget to map a psp key to enter in the emulator MENU !)
File requester now uses two directories for keyboard and rom files
Fixed the bug that made games like Pokemon Fire to crash
The download comes with 2 binary versions with 1.0 and 1.5 eboots and the sources for developers. Also, Zx-81 has stated that this may be the final version that will be compatible with 2.0-2.6, as he is going to downgrade his own PSP to firmware 1.5 and try to improve speed once again by using kernel access. For devhook try reading the first post of this thread. It basically lets 1.5 psp's emulate 2.5 firmware.

awesome nite that link saved my ass with devhook.

now if i could only get my damn ISO loader to work @_@

EDIT: hmmm ok so my iso loader worked with ridge racer, but wont work with the naruto game. it just turns my PSP off after givin me a black screen =/ help?

you using devhook fer the naruto game? i couldnt get the naruto game to work on devhook either but i got bleach working. naruto game has a fix but not using devhook and is much more.. complicated :/

Devhook lets you run iso's. The reason Naruto isnt working is because it wants you to install 2.6 firmware. To get Naruto working on devhook/any iso loader, you gotta extract the iso, and replace certain files, then make a new iso.

I dont have the files or instructions on me, but its easy to find thru google or a search on a psp homebrew forum

*nods* wat nite said. and daxiso compresses yer iso ' ive already played naruto its ok :/ if you find instructions and have problems feel free ask since ive already had to do it :/

If you would like to make Naruto make work with Dev Hook use this PPF patch on the orgional ISO to play.

i.e. you will not need to manually change Prx etc

If you don't know how you will apply the patch then for your info you could use PPf patcher for UMDGEN 3.02 software to apply patch to ISO.

w/e fuck it, i give up. my daxz iso loader ran ridge racer, so im guessing that other iso's load fine, its just this naruto crap thats being a bitch

Does anyone here know how to dowgrade your psp. I have 2.71 but I want 1.5 so I can use the homebrew

theres no downloader for 2.71 yet. there are only downloadgraders for 2.6 and below. so while they try to get a 2.71 downgrader, i suggest you stop upgrading yer psp :/

Otherwise, i tried it yesterday too with Dev .41 it does not work if you apply PPF patch with UMGGen 3.02. But works if you use PPFOMATIC 3.0 to patch.

^that is what i did, but it still wouldnt do it with .42. but the patch worked with .43, so thx for ur help!!!
