Hey I just bought a PsP, you guys have any suggesttions on games or anything I should get for it.

1) a +2gb mem stick

2)Do not update the firmware over 2.81 if you want to be able to downgrade and play downloaded games.

3)Check gaming sites for ratings on good games. I'd reccomend Tekkenark Resurrection, Jak, Bleach:Heat the soul games

Those are actually the best games for the psp. It doesn't have too many good good games.

Valkyrie Profile is good too. Lumines 1 & 2. Guitaroo Man. Virtua Tennis. Burnout. Pro Evolution soccer. THose are all great games.

You must upgrade OFFICIALLY to 3.03, then get the GTA:LCS downgrader. It doesn't matter if your mobo is TA-082 or not, the downgrader will patch the PSP.

You'll need an unpatched version of LCS. You'll know it's unpatched when the PSP update version is 2.00 (if it's 2.60=patched=no good to downgrade)

Improvements in the flasher. It will now generate also the flash1 directories, and it will check that the dxar is the correct for this update, so no more bricks by accidentally using other DATA.DXAR.

if he has 2.71, then he DOESN'T need GTA:LCS. He can downgrade normally to 1.50 using the downgrader available in the web, and from there update to any of the custom firmwares which allow emulators and isos.

Up to 2.82 you don't need the GTA:LCS exploit

I upgraded to 3.40 OE-A yesterday. All is going smoothly so far.

^heh, didn't see that coming. But yes, that game makes the PSP worth it.

I also want to throw out there that FFVII: Crisis Core is a MUST buy when releases for the PSP. Shall be thrills. ^^

I'm not hyped about Crisis core too much. Square has a habit of fucking up FF spin offs more often than not.(/shudders while remembering the vincent game)

If it's actually good, then it will be a valuable (and much needed) addition to the psp game roster.

^ heh, I deffiently can't deny the fact that Dirge of Cerebrus was a terrible game. As an avid FFVII fan, I was very dissapointed, though the story itself wasen't half bad, they just didn't spend enough time on gameplay, and mechanics. Square is aware of that from all the terrible feedback.

That moble game 'Before Crisis', was a bit of a joke as well. Though I gotta say that it appears like they are actually putting forth some effort with Crisis Core, and I can only hope for the best.

Though no matter how bad it is, i'll still play through it, just for the backstory behind Zack and Sephiroth. ;p
