Yeah I got a next gen system (360) for this game...I'm already prepared for it...all the other games I get and play and have played until this RE5 release are just things to kill time for me til this release.

Already saw the gameplay videos that u just posted but thanks anyways.

I really wanted to start a RE5 thread but always had the impression that it was going to be closed because someone else might've started one. Anyways, as a RE enthusiast, this game will be sensational like every single RE release in the sagas (with the exception of RE: Dead Aim for the PS2 and RE: Gaiden for GBA as they werent that impressive). I'm hoping to see Wesker in this one, along with the STARS members that we havent seen for so long (Claire Redfiedl, Chris Redfield, Rebbecca Chambers, Barry Burton and whoever survived the Arklay Mt's and Raccoon City incident).

I cant wait for this release! It's the only reason why i got a 360 in the 1st place.

I wonder what kind of weapons will they put in this game. They said they wanted to go more realistic than the weapons available in RE4. I love my Handcannon, it took down two zombies minimum. It was realistic!

I wonder if the secondary character(hoping Claire Redfield) in this game will be a throwback to old RE game, whereas you have a limited amount of guns and ammo.

I totally support that they will go with more realistic weapons than the ones in RE4. The Handcannon was a powerful weapon though not as enjoyable as an infinite ChicagoTypwriter. Im only into fully-automatics when it comes to weapons, i dont mind semi-auto like M16's, sniper-rifles, MP5's and M4A1's. Though according to one of the gameplay vids i did see a M4A1, now THAT's my kind of weapon, fully customized with a red-dot scope and laser.

Im also hoping for them to throw in an old RE charcater like Claire, Chris and others. I'll also be looking fwd to Wesker's appearance :

The game still is in the works so u really cannot judge yet. Though RE4 itself wasnt scary at all actually.

Can't wait for 5, and yet I still don't have a 360 or PS3 yet. I hope for different costume changes once the game is beaten and would love to replay with the Stars uniform from the Mansion incident.

Wonder capcom going to re-release old RE games for new generation kids to play?

^ Get RE4

Anyways, from what I've read

the agme will encorporate more hand to hand combat, mainly utilizing the comabt knife, similar to the ones Krauser and Leon used

also, the game may have some level take place in south america

interestingly, the designers are also incorporating certain visual aspects of the game, which will simulate player's eyes adjusting to light, causing temporarily blurred vision ro blindness (enough time to be attacked) and also, mirages.

You could be walking down a hot road, and think you see zombies ahead, unload 5 clips into them, and realize they were never there

I read that as well on IGN. Man, i just like how theyr putting every ounce of effort into this game.

I doubt that RE5 will make an appearance for the Wii, that's a long shot. I agree that the controls were spot on, i also like that there was more controling freedom as opposed to the older RE's; moving camera angles, more interaction with the environment, etc.

And yes how could u forget the Chicago Typewriter? That gun is a life-saver, but i dont like it's appearance, im hoping for M16s, M4A1s, MP5's and P90's (now those guns r very high tech)

I probaly could see it coming out for the Nintendo Wii a year later but is this the final Resident Evil Game they are going to create for the storyline at a point Capcom stated that they were only making it only to Resident Evil 5 that was a few years ago people .

Provide some proof or stop talking. They'll keep making RE, it is too big of a seller.

That's the thing. I'm wondering if RE5 will be like RE4, where ammo isn't much of a concern. I remember playing older RE games and part of the problem was that ammo was scarce. You couldn't kill everything, you had to run from a lot of things to conserve ammo. But RE4, I just laid waste to everything because I could. It hurt my time rating though. But the head shot, kick, knife combo never failed to work with the handgun.

The visual glare and difficulty seeing sound interesting for sure though. If they make guns and ammo like the last game, it should make up for the easier gameplay and lack of FIXED CAMERA ANGLES lol. Those were beastly. So I'm pretty enthusiastic that they are trying to up the difficulty back to the level of the older games, or at least I think.

I wouldn't call those zombies in RE5 since they appear to be carrying weapons and communicating. They could be villagers hosting the Las Plagas in them similar to the ones of RE4. Though i do wish for zombies to make a come back.

Yes it does. Until this point, it seems that it is ONLY making an appearance on the 360 and PS3.

Agreed. I sure did enjoy the availability of weapons/ammo in RE4, though it did bring down the game difficulty a tad. This RE seems to be a mixture of both older RE games and RE4 considering that the enemies come in large numbers and r more challenging the Ganados of RE4, and we get awesome weapons like Chris was wielding in that gameplay video. Being such a RE enthusiast, im always looking fwd to new RE releases.
