yea, which is why my answers may seem cryptic.

I can say that I am enjoying the experience and they have made lots of improvements from when I started. If things keep going as they are it will be a great game.

They are doing a great job so far of listing to the Beta testers, and seem to a place great value in making the game as good as it can be.

......... and it was pushed back to 3Q 2008..... (more beta for me )

every game is better in PvP then WoW, even games without PvP are better then WoW's PvP =/

Anyways, this game looks cool. But the graphics (without playing it, i could be wrong) look a little on the "ehh" side. I wont be trying this game, after wasting lotsa time on MMO's, there has yet to be one that actually made me go "damnnn"

Gaming companies keep on throwing out the same shit. Even if the game is fun, it will get repetitive very fast, just as WoW. It isnt about the gameplay, or about the graphics really. It about small features such as customization, and being able to do countless things in the game, instead of going through 1 path. With this (from what i read its going to be PvP based, correct me if im wrong) ultimately, all your going to do IS PvP, and that is the only path really. In WoW, it was raiding, and that was the only path also.

They need to stop wasting time/money on shit like this, and really launch something exciting. When WoW came out, it revolutionized MMORPG's if not the whole PC gaming industry. It brought new shit to the table. But they ruined it (not going to go into how.) That is what needs to happen with this game. MMO's are about the options and really character advancement and customization. If all your going to be able to do here is PvP, then no thank you.

Without going too much into detail, the graphics setting are at their lowest. As in if you have a crappy computer but still want to play... this is what it would look like.

Things like lighting, AA, high texture landscapes/models are not available.

The best way I can describe it is if you have elder scrolls 4, go into the game... turn off everything = WAR beta.

They are working on the mechanics right now, because they feel that it is the most important.

I have not played a good MMO since EQ1...which I played for 5 years haha. WoW 1-60 during the initial release was massive amounts of fun. The journey to 60 was a blast with friends. Then you hit 60 and...nothing...a giant void of boring and nothing.

Hopefully Age of Conan and WAR are some what better seeing as how Vanguard took a dump.

I applied for beta yesterday, do they usually let everyone in?

So far im loving the Chaos Chosen Path of Strife or Retaliation. Im also loving the Marauder, either Path of Brutality or Monstrosity.

I really hope I get into beta, really want to play this game.

I have a question though, how are armor and weapons obtained? Just like in WoW?

The game looks good but I don't think I will ever get into beta.I do like that you can level up from pvp and pve.

Any decent guilds in the beta?I'm talking about guilds that if they do lose a fight admit it.Not twist what actually happened so that it seems like they were cheated somehow.

I realize it's closed beta.When I initially signed up there was a lot of moaning about who got beta tickets at the games day events.Apparently a few people under the age of 18 got beta tickets and I believe one person got 2 beta tickets since they put their name in twice.

I should have reworded that having a low end system substantially decreases my chances of getting into beta.

Actually, I think you had it right the first time... The dwarve/elf/human sword-swinging, magic-casting genre hasn't been interesting for a good while. Consequently, Warhammer just looks like every other uninspiring, fantasy mmorpg.

No… unfortunately.

There are around 700,000 closed beta applicants, and I would guess around 1000 active closed beta testers. (they just let in a new large group of people…)

Yes and no.
You get stuff from killing mobs, quests, shops.
But you also get stuff by completing public quests, as well as having a rank based off of your contribution to the overall RvR effort which allows you to purchase items.
