1. It’s gonna be a “parallel history” movie, and it will be non-canon. Gonna be a “New World” kinda thing. I bet it’s gonna be a more awesome retelling of the series.
2. Nanoha and Fate will be rivals
3. The battle clothes and devices will be changed. Apparently Bardiche is gonna get a female VA this time. More details in the scans below
4. There’s gonna be a 2 hour drama CD, set 3 years after StrikerS, focusing on the rookies. No Nanoha/Fate/Hayate in it apparently.
5. Movie release date is set for Winter 2009. A lot of time to save up for the DVD’s! Wait, apparently it’s THIS winter.

Tentai Senshi Sunred by AIC (Seto no Hanayome staff) this October:

The official Japanese website for the anime adaptation of Makoto Kubota's Tentai Senshi Sunred comedy manga has launched with confirmation that the television anime series will premiere in Japan in October. The story revolves around the hero Sunred's battles against General Vamp and his shadowy group of minions in a spoof of classic Japanese anime and live-action special-effects shows. The manga has been running in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine since 2005. Six volumes of the manga have been compiled and published.

Seiji Kishi (Galaxy Angel Rune, Magikano, Seto no Hanayome) will direct the animators at AIC ASTA. Makoto Uezu (School Days, Seto no Hanayome, Utawarerumono) is overseeing the scripts, while Kazuaki Morita (Seto no Hanayome) is designing the characters. Shun Takagi (The Prince of Tennis musical's Fukawa) will play the title character, and Makiko Nabei (Seto no Hanayome's Ren Seto) will play his sweetheart Kayoko. The comedians Yamada Louis LIII and Higuchi-kun of the Higedanshaku comedy duo will assume the roles of General Vamp and Minion #1, respectively.

Asu no Yoichi!:

The September issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Shonen Champion magazine will announce on August 6 that Yū Minamoto's Asu no Yoichi! romantic comedy manga will be animated for television. The titular character Yoichi decides to leave his family's mountainside home after his father tells him there is nothing more he can learn in martial arts there. The teenaged boy ends up in a martial arts dojo in the city with four girls. The manga has been running in Monthly Shonen Champion magazine from the spring of 2006 until now, and its eighth compiled volume will ship in Japan in August. Shonen Champion's September issue will have a Asu no Yoichi! poster along with the anime announcement

Kyo no Gononi (Today in Class 5-2) this fall:

The Japanese publisher Kodansha has updated its web page about television and film projects that are linked to manga, and the page now confirms that Coharu Sakuraba's Kyo no Gononi (Kyō no 5 no 2 or Today in Class 5-2) manga is being adapted as a television anime series. The comedy manga follows the "lightly ecchi," everyday life of fifth grader Ryōta Satō, his childhood friend Chika Koizumi, and the rest of their school's Class 5-2. The manga was already adapted into a four-episode video series in 2006. The television series will premiere in Japan in the fall.

New Attempt at Yamato Anime Project Announced

Yoshinobu Nishizaki, the 73-year-old producer of the Space Battleship Yamato science-fiction anime franchise, has announced his newest attempt to revive the franchise on Thursday, over 25 years after the last theatrical film. He has announced the opening of "Yamato Studio" in Tokyo and said that the new Yamato project will be his last work, one which he hopes will "surpass director Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea." Nishizaki's 55-year-old son Shōji Nishizaki, 80-year-old veteran Yamato chief director Toshio Masuda, and 58-year-old chief animation director Tomonori Kogawa (Casshan: Robot Hunter, Densetsu Kyojin Ideon, Legend of the Galactic Heroes) will lead a staff of about 40 animators in the "Fukkatsu-hen" (Revival Chapter) project. The team is aiming to premiere the project next year.

Speculation: Phoenix Wright/Gyakuten Saiban might finally be getting an anime.

Over at the Gyakuten Meets Orchestra blog, it's business as usual. The tickets for their September 23rd show will soon be released, but they've got something to say to those buying tickets.

"We have plans for this fall's special courtroom." They say. It's a project called "New Gyaukuten Saiban NOT game." The start of this project was several years ago, and they've had to deal with things here and there, but they'll finally be able to announce it! Well, we have to wait until the concert to hear about it, just to tease us.

Oh, but next week there's voice recording? And there'll be a special illustration done next week? Hmm, all signs point to an anime in the works. The manga is already out and doing well, so I don't see why an anime wouldn't follow suit. Unless it's going to be a J-drama all of a sudden, which I'd still jump for joy over.
