Episodes: 50-52 (gonna run for a full year)

Air Time: Uncut airs Thursday with subs usually coming out on Saturday by Rumbel. Normal version airs on Monday. Tadashi usually subs 2 or 3 days after the normal airing.

The series will be made into an anime in April 7th, 2008, animated by Bones (studio)
The official Japanese website of the Soul Eater anime series has announced that each episode will air in two different versions: the regular Monday 6:00 p.m. version and a late-night "Soul Eater Late Show" version with added special footage (no more waiting for uncut DVD's)

The anime is based on Atsushi Ohkubo's "cool & pop action fantasy" manga, which Square Enix has been publishing in Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine and in 10 compiled volumes. The production reunites Square Enix with many of the Fullmetal Alchemist staffers, including scriptwriter Akatsuki Yamatoya, character designer Yoshiyuki Ito. production designer Shinji Aramaki, and the BONES studio animators. The first episode premieres in Japan on April 7.

Main reason I'm watching this is because it's BONES and the staff.

Since the manga is at volume 10 already (they release Soul Eater monthly), I guess it'll be 26 episodes. Maybe it'll reach 52. Each chapter is pretty long and there's a lot of text. So who knows, but since it's BONES, expect either 26 or 52 episodes.

this sounds like it will be an anime i'll be looking foward to in the spring.

awesome that there'll be a late night version of the show a.k.a. uncut version. bones always delivers.

I'm also looking forward to Nijuu Mensou no Musume (another BONES anime that'll premier in April with Hirano Aya in the main role (Suzumiya Haruhi, Misa, deathnote).

Yea I know and we got second seasons for Suzumiyah, and Code Geass.

^NOT. At least no news about it airing in April. There are also 2 or 3 Production I.G titles that look interesting. Spring season is definitely a lot better than last season.

Well you could say that this has a lot of ecchi in it (boobs, pointless fanservice you know the deal). I think it has to do with stuff like that and blood. You know how Bleach is now since it airs in an earlier timeslot.
I'm just glad that BONES decided to air them simultanously. I really don't like waiting for DVD releases and downloading episodes that I've seen multiple times (unless they're really worth it).

As for art, Kekkaishi anime art is vastly different from manga art. Check the manga for Soul Eater. You'll see that it's a pretty symplistic artstyle. I think BONES did a good job imitating it.

^That and it's basically the whole FMA staff doing this. It has to be a good sign...
I really want to see a trailer. I wonder how they're going to animate this. I think it's going to a really crazy animation wise, with weird ass shots. Probably fast paced.
