I'm glad Obama won and he has a very ambitous campaign, and the expectations are high. Satisfying those, especially in such difficult times may become an impossible task but we'll have to wait and see.

I think that this is the perfect way for USA to move into the New Era, and the new century, albeit a bit delayed as it was. It demonstrates enormous growth not only of their political system but of the American people. Obama has had a very ambitious and promising campaign, but as he said all of those promises cannot be satisfied within his first months, perhaps not even within his full term. IT is interesting to see where he starts...

My area is pretty racist so there was a lot of mourning and crying and lots of lulz from me. This area of Texas is useless. Obama should nuke it and nobody will miss it. But he won't. Instead he's more likely to actually get a tinge of support out of them after these 4 years where they'll say, "well you know, he wasn't such a bad guy". Which out here for a nigga socialist muslim terrorist one-letter-off-from-Osama will be the most significant thing to ever happen. Obama won god damn Lynchville Virginia! LYNCHVILLE! Even the name is racist. (Similar to "White Colony" on the west side of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex) Texas went for Obama 44%. That right thar is impressive. Our white Republican NASCAR-loving governor got a low 39%. Speaking of NASCAR, I want an Obama car and have it beat everyone's ass just to prove a point.

I don't live in America, but I'm glad he won. Though he has SOME task ahead of him.

Corruption and conflict of interest in regards to no bid contracts given to Haliburton, Haliburton's flagrant misuse, abuse and swindling of billions in funds, Haliburton flagrant over charging for services rendered, starting the iraq war before the afganistan conflict had been resolved, starting the iraq war without the appropriate troop levels, tax loop holes that were not closed or even commented on by the Bush administration when brought to national attention, oh and Haliburton(needed to be said again and again and again) all in all I don't think I could even acknowledge the GOP ticket ever unless bush, cheyne and rumsfeld were executed I don't even care what the charges would be.

as an "american" i feel there's going to be change, but as obama said, we have to "work" towards change first. as a "black man" it sheds off alot, and i mean "alot" of doubt and gives me hope that for myself, i can achieve anything i set my mind to, regardless of what is going on around me or how people may view me. i'm glad we have someone like obama who really wants to "unify" us as a nation and not keep us seperated through racisim, discrimination or hatred. here's hoping for the next 4 years and i hope during that time, we as a people really begin to change our views of ourselves first, and others second. once again, here's hoping for the best that we work for.

I can't stop talking about it. I think alot of my coworkers are pissed cause they're not talking about Obama or the election at all. It seems like no one cares at all. I think they're bitter cause Obama won and alot of people voted for Mccain. It's not secret to me that the majority of the military voted for Mccain but so many seem so asshurt like Nov 5 was just another day. Why did Mclame get the military vote? Do they seriously want to stay at war for another 10-50 years. What the fuck is wrong is with my people? Why does'nt the military, the main people that this war is hurting not want peace and to be back home where they belong? This does'nt make sense to me. I feel like I'm the only person that wants out of the war.

Damn, your in the wrong place Marlie. People in the military have to have the love war mind set in a sense, or else, how would they survive mentaly in that enviornment, thats what I think. So i'm not really surprised at your ppl voting McCain either.

Rep Power: 66 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It kinda hurt me to think about it that way. I came charging in the breakroom that night where everyone was and I was like "Fuck yeah! Obama won! Yes!" and everyone was pretty much like "meh", "Enjoy not getting yearly raises" and one of my asshole white friends made the joke "Huur Duur he's gonna get killed in a week huur duur". I'm like...is that all you people care about? What the fuck is wrong with you people? I'd gladly give up all of my benefits and all of this shit just to get my people back home and the U.S back on top. Maybe I'll ask some of the guys at work tonight about who they voted for and why they voted. This to me is a serious issue. I'm starting to feel like I'm playing for the wrong team. I'm not an attack dog. I'm a human being and an American citizen first before I'm a soldier.
