Anime Expo 2008!!!

I didn't see a thread for this so here it is~

So, who is going to this? It will be held at the Los Angeles Downtown Convention Center here in California.

It seems like it should be a good time. I have never attended one and I figured I love this so I may as well go heh.

Anime Expo® [AX] 2008

Check it out guys, it looks very promising. The LA convention center is HUGE! The last import car show I was at had hundreds and hundreds of cars inside the building. Hopefully the anime expo will be just as big.

I am going on July 5th and maybe 6th depending on how big the thing is. If I can see what I want in 1 day I wont stay for a second day and spend the cash on a hotel room.

I will take plenty of pictures for everyone. I mean like, bringing 2 memory sticks for pictures. Lots of them.

Hope to see someone there!

EDIT: The show was awesome!

I spent about 150 bucks on random crap haha. I got away with lots of original artwork that people had drawn themselves and sold at the art gallery. Things were 5-10 bucks a pop for pictures. They will be up in my room soon heh.

Also bought a bunny hat for snowboarding this year. Awesome. Bleach Squad 10 arm band, Unicorn Table CD, got to play Naruto Ninja Storm!!!! It was badass! Got a few phone straps, lots of pictures (below), and had an all around good time.

Next year though...I am dressing up. I felt completely left out for not going as something.

The biggest reason why I am going is because I have never gone haha. I love to go to these types of things for cars and electronics so may as well do Anime.

By far my favorite convention was E3 2006. Hopefully this tops that...which will be hard to do.

The only con I've ever been to was Otakon a few years ago :X Maybe I'll go again this year...since I'm on the other coast and can't go to Anime Expo.

Bones Co-Founder Masahiko Minami to Attend Anime Expo - Anime News Network

His studio's latest movie is the samurai film Sword of the Stranger.

On Friday, Minami will appear at a signing at the Bandai Entertainment booth, as well as a discussion and screening of Sword of the Stranger. Minami has appeared at Anime Expo before, at the 2000 premiere of the Escaflowne movie.
