Most hacking is done very slowly and can take a long time. Doesn't require a high speed connection to do. Plus, people have been hacking even before high speed exsisted, so it doesn't really suprise me.

Yes, this was seven years ago, he was offered to work for the US but he turned it down now he's gonna be stuck at prison for 70 yrs. He also admitted that he was stoned when he hacked into the network.

Yes he sure is. Now bubba will be hacking him up the butt.

Connection initiated.

He should have taken the position. It's not common to see such awesomeness anymore. Security holes these days in a good system require a lot of delicate work. One has to hope for people blatantly foregoing security procedures with sensitive information. But most hacking is done inside or info is traded. I don't see why 56k matters. A Linux console for example doesn't require much.

Before the Internet became the only way to connect to everything, it was even faster because direct connecting to a server cuts the latency to virtually nothing. Entirely instantaneous responses without using TCP/IP through a network of routers. I will never see response times like that over the Internet.

I can outperform, in terms of issuing commands such as through a bot script, the best FIOS that is permanently locked into the Internet by using a mere 14.4k connection that is not isolated to the Internet. But not many servers are connected to a phone line these days.

I would really love to had a picture of how this guy looks like for some reason... lol
Guy in the news picture doesn't seem to be a real pic of him.

anyway why did you skip out this quote ' Gary McKinnon, a British computer expert, claims he's just fascinated with UFOs. Using his home computer and a modem — how WarGames! — he infiltrated military networks and accessed thousands of computers trying to find evidence of alien contact. Now caught and having lost an appeal with the British courts,' this is the funny part. lol
