Since No one started a thread about it I thought about making one today since Ramadan may start tomorrow or on Tuesday mostly.....still not sure


For those who ignore what is it :Ramadan is the month of fasting for muslims,where the individual refrains from eating and drinking and practices continence for 1 month which is the time when the Coran was revealed to Mohamad by God

Oh shi*** I totally forgot, starts 1. september this year? Ah man to think that it will be in the summer in a couple of years, and in Norway even where the sun never sets.

Any tips&tricks as to how I should survive 9 hours of lectures on mondays and thursday (it is TORsday, someone needs to fix this up so I can stop confusing the spelling) without water?


The upside being that I actually feel clearheaded and appreciate my food, especially when your mom goes berserk in ramadan and prepares a feast every day

You can't fast if you drank alcohol in the last 40 days,because fasting without praying isn't acceptable.

Use your will ,if you use it you can achieve anything not only for ramadan though i tried it in many situation and it worked that's the best tip i can give you =P

A month are you serious about what you're saying ,A human can't last more then 3 or 4 days with out drinking & eating lol


i think it's From sunrise till Sunset ,time zone can also influence the timing .. check the wiki link it might help ^^

The duration of the fast is from dawn (defined as the ability to discern between a white and black thread in natural light) till after sunset. And it is not only eating and drinking that a muslim is prescribed to refrain from but also to double up on efforts to avoid any transgression be it through actions or words. And ofcourse keep up with the prayers without which the fasting is incomplete.

In any case, may the Holy month of Ramadan be a source of enlightenment for all and may everyone be granted the patience to implement the lessons of this month in our lives as well.

You also can't masturbate & watch porn.Also,if you're married,you can't have intercourse with your wife during the fasting period.

Edit: Smoking breaks the fast & thus is also prohibited during the fasting period.

Lol. I'm not muslim myself, but most of my friends are, so they have to start fasting this week. And even though their used to it, i always feel bad eating in front of them at lunch. it must be hard the first day though.
