$700 needed in 7 days

This is for the forums/homepage server. We need to get roughly $100 per day for the next week to pay for the website.

Thanks folks, we've reached the $100 mark for the first day. Need this to continue tommorrow. This isn't an unexpected bill or anything, it's the basic costs of this website.

How do you spend so much on servers? I'm in no way questioning that these are legitimate costs, but how do the prices amount to so much? Is your host overly-expensive?

$100 for firewall
$600 on server. Some of those costs are for the network and bandwidth. Rest is hardware leasing and insurance.

You have to understand that the server this website runs off would own anyones home PC. It is very powerful and needs to be to cope with the traffic.

We are talking about 8 CPU cores with 8GB ram and SAS Drives.

^ this is just the very minimum required to pay for the forums server and firewall and is needed before that payment goes out. The private servers are over and above this minimum amount, we need the private servers to attract donators (many of whom don't even use the forums at all)

Bought a half a day. The donations thing should really give you the option to choose monetary value. I would have bought an entire day in one wack, but that would have required 2 transactions. I'm a bit tired and need some serious rest before I step on my unit in the am. Sorry, guys. Second transaction tomorrow.

I really enjoy the time I spend with the great bunch of members in NM. It would be a shame if the collective were lost over something minute as a few copper coin. Oh, to the powers that be, giving the opt for credit donation -- made this much easier for me than paypal. Much appreciated.

Thank you all for donating but i thought i would say this for Mater. Actually you could have done $100 in one shot. When you go to paypall to pay, if you are using something else i'm sorry for saying this, you can change the amount to what ever you want. Or so i believe.
