The Chuunin Exams

This thread will currently take over all activity in the Konoha Mura thread (mainly for the Genins) until the exams are over. Following the old tradition, the exams will be held in three parts. No dates and times are settled for these events - if everyone just posts regularly, it's bound to work out fine.

However, I'll already write down the three parts here. If an examiner will explain it amongst one of the posts in the thread, there could be people over reading it or missing out on it and they'd end up lost in knowing what to do. Or not, but I'll put it in this post anyway.

((This years Chuunin exam will closely follow the anime))

Part 1

Part one is a written exam. The participant is given a 10 question paper and has an hour to finish it. The maximum amount off points you can get is 10 whenever a question is answered wrong you lose 1 point. Several Chuunin are also present to monitor any kind off obvious cheating or kick out anyone who reaches 0 points. There are also Chuunin's present amongst the participants. It's the Genins goal to pick them out and get the answers from them one way or another with out being caught cheating.

((A sheet off 10 questions shall be PM'ed to the participants. The questions are just to see how many wrongs and rights your char will eventually have and aren't that hard to answer. Also the questions aren't the ones given to the actual chars during the exam but I was to lazy to come up with true mathematic shinobi questions and such, when filled in just PM it back to the GM's (SL, JK or me)))

Part 2

This part off the exam takes place in Practice Area 44 also called the Forest of Death due to it's environment. The goal is to acquire both heaven and earth scroll and reach the tower in the middle off the forest. Each team is given one scroll, the heaven or earth scroll and thus has to find a way to get the other scroll from another team. There are no rules or regulations.

When arrived at the tower judging on the number off participants prelims might be held to lower the number. These prelims are simple fights between participants.

Part 3

The participants who passed the second test will be given a month to rest before the third. The third test consist solely out off fighting. It's a one on one in the main stadium off Konoha. Not only is it good to determine one individuals fighting strength. It also gives countries a good insight on the future generation off the villages.

Of course there will be more teams but those will be NPC's. Anyone participating in the exams can create NPC teams simply to aid their story and such.

Kougane leaned against the pole outside off the exam building. Genins had already started gathering and gone inside to make their way to the gathering area. He still hadn't seen his Genins though, they had done quite well on the last few missions and their bond as a team had grown so he was fully confident in their partaking off this event.

"Kougane-sensei!!"

Ah the first one to arrive was Yuna apparently. The girl's blond hair bobbed along cheerfully as she raised her hand. She had geared up quite obviously.

"Have Nochi or Leena-chan arrived already?"

"Nope, not yet"

The girl sighed sliding her hands onto her hips when she glanced around. Not many people outside aside from some Genin. The bigger group was probably already inside.

"Chaa can't wait...."

"Competition everywhere"

Nami mumbled glancing around. Seiji was sitting on one off the desks far in the back off the room they had been told to gather in, Nami leaned against the wall next to him observing all the Genins inside.

Quite a number really, they were crowding the room to the brim. More to manipulate she figured smirking. In no way was she taking the exams lightly though.

"Wonder if some interesting people will show up"

Leena walked into the area looking around for her team, she was definately excited for the exams and couldn't wait to get started, things with her new team had gotten better but she still thought she was the only sane one in the group.

"Oh there they are...."

She smiled and waved as she saw Yuna and Kougane and went over to them. She was definately prepared and excited to get going on this.

"Hey, what's up?"

She looked around and saw Nobutada wasn't there yet and she rolled her eyes, typical lazy Tarento. She sighed a bit and twirled one of her daggers as she waited.

Rayne having been assigned to a new team was a bit unsure of herself as she entered the exams, but she was still nervous, she hadn't really worked with them a lot and she was sure she was still the weakest in her team.

I hope I can improve....and prove myself to them....I don't want them to not want me around just cause I'm weak....

She sighed, she hated being the weakest, but it seemed no matter how hard she tried to get stronger, she wasn't.

[Sasuke's Legacy]

"Good morning Yuna-chan, and fucking asshole bastard."

A couple of bystanders and genins looked over in astonishment to see a black haired boy glaring at an apparent teammate and sensei. They started to mutter about how rude and bad it was to talk and act like that to a sensei. Meanwhile Nobutada just grumbled, moving to sit down somewhere close to them, but not in the vicinity so to say.

"Well, is this the real chuunin exams or is this a shitload of chuunins again? You should know, but it's hard for me to tell... Bastard."

Yes, the Tarento was a very angry shinobi indeed. A very very angry shinobi. Luckily, he was still prepared. Despite the lad's total ignorance of his sensei, he had worked hard to make their team a success for the chuunin exams. Leena still seemed a bit stand offish, but that was to be expected, and so far their teamwork had been top notch.

"I'll be looking for those damned chuunins here..."

"Good morning Leena-chan... Nobut-"

Kougane sweat dropped at Nobutada's anger. Apparently he had done a good job pissing the poor lad off beyond believe. It couldn't be helped he figured, really couldn't.

"Yah..... It was just a test Nobuchi.... A test.... No need to be so angry about it.... No need at all"

The man laughed waving his hand in front off his face. Yuna had hopped over to Leena, it had become her favorite person in the team simply because she was a girl.

"Morning Leena!! Are you ready for the exams?"

Leena couldn't help laughing at the fact that Nobutada was mad, she hadn't exactly been happy about the mission either, but it had been a good test and they had done well which was the main goal, just one they hadn't really known.

"Morning Yuna!!"

She smiled at the girl as she greeted her and nodded as she asked if she was ready for the exams, she continued to twirl both daggers now, praticing hand movements with them.

"Yeah....I am sooooo ready!!"

She smirked and nodded, they were going to do well, she just knew it. They had worked so flawlessly on that first mission together, and they had developed into a well balanced team.

"Tche..."

Nobutada didn't bother trying to act excited, partly because he was mad, and partly because he simply wasn't excited. Well, there was a tiny bit of lust for the exams, and the anxiety was there, but in a very small quantity. Most of him was his usual non-caring self, except for the angry part...

"That test got me in huge trouble with my parents... Geez... That was the biggest waste of effort I've ever completed. There wasn't even a real goal we were going for beside getting better, which we could've done on our own.."

Yep this sucked. But for some reason, the Tarento actually was ready for the exams. There was an actual intent to work hard, if he did end up having to work. Well working hard meant semi-hard, which meant kinda trying. But that was still an intent!

"Hmm, Dajiro is out huh? Who's this Rayne person?"

Tasumi stepped into the crowded platforms and started searching for the new sensei and new teammate. The only thing still the same was Ken, and he barely new Ken anyways so it was all scarily new.

"Geez. I never knew the exams were this big."

The shinobi dusted off his kimono since the dust from everyone's feet was being stirred up, and his outfit was white, not good at all. The blond kept moving though, his sword and pouch tightly equipped to his silk sash. Where were these people?

"Honestly.... Your so mopey Nobutada"

Kougane said scratching the back off his head before he raised his hands in front off his face and clapped. It was time for the three off them to focus on the exam right now.

Yuna who had been happily talking to Leena now turned towards Kougane. The Hiryuu seemed to have something to say before they'd go off into the exams. Her hands pressed together behind her back when she smiled.

"From this point on I'm not allowed to help you guys so I just came here to wish you the best off luck. Also, the exams are harsh. Don't naively think everyone can be trusted that's just a piece of advice"

He had experienced his fair share off betrayal during the exams. His hands slid into his pockets when he stepped aside.

"Look out for one another okay guys?"

"Hai!! Sensei!!"

Akito had his hands deep in his pockets. Both his gear and clothes were optimized for these exams, but nothing was more sharp then his mind. From the moment he had gotten up this morning he knew how important this was, and what he had to do to make it. He wasn't bothered by the loud chatting or other forms of noise around him as he was slowly making his way through the already crowded halls. All he cared about was the fact that he needed to get to the rest of his team in the hall in front of the classroom they had to gather in.

So simple..

Cursing, bragging Genin all around him. They were accompanied by significantly stronger ones, though, and he knew it. He had already spotted competition beyond his expectations through the strands of thick dark hair falling in front of his darkened eyes. A small grin had expanded on his face. This was going to be pretty exciting.

Leena nodded as Kougane spoke about not trusting easily and looking out for one another, her job most likely would be to keep Yuna from killing Nobutada, but still they had to be able to work together on this.

"Hai sensei!! And I'll make sure they don't kill each other as usual...."

She added as she knew most likely there wouldn't be a time during the exams where they wouldn't fight or that Yuna wouldn't get pissed off at him. Looking around at the other people she noticed one particular blonde she hadn't seen in a very long time that made her cheeks flush and heart race.

"Tasumi...."

She whispered his name so softly as she saw him.

Rayne looked around for her other teammates, one name Tasumi, the other Ken, she didn't know either but she hoped they would all be able to work together and wouldn't think less of her.

"Hmmm....Tasumi and Ken.....and I have no idea who our sensei is....."

She sighed and looked around more not even sure who or how her teammates looked, it was a little nerve wracking going into the exams with a brand new team she didn't know and had never worked with.

Tadimura said as he tugged Ken with him and tried to see their team before the exams start

"Hmm Ken even though we have never worked together and you've never worked with Rayne and Tasumi I trust you know how to work in a team?"Tadimura asked the genin who nodded slightly before sighing abit and made sure he had everything he needed for the exams, weapons water and other basic equipment

"Tasumi and Ryane..."Ken said to himself while the old Hitoha was looking around for his team

Akito looked up when a figure came trudging near. It was odd, having to conclude he knew this person well by now; others probably wouldn't see it, but he could spot instantly Tokiko wasn't her usual self. After short greeting, they stood next to each other, silent, until Akito looked up at the ceiling.

"You okay?"

The question took her aback slightly and even though she had just pushed people to the side while loudly claiming they had to make way for her, Tokiko nodded quietly. She knew what he meant. The moment she had gotten home from her escape of formalities, she had felt it. Never before had her parents, especially her mother, scolded her like that.

Maybe the silent, disappointed headshaking of her father had been worse, though. They had discovered the Bunshin being a Bunshin right at the end of the dinner, when the guests were gone and a clothing rack had fallen over. The Bunshin was hit by hit since it hadn't seen the thing coming and her cover had been blown, literally. It had taken all the persuading, crying and screaming she could muster to be able and participate in the Chuunin exams after all. She was immensely glad to be here and Akito had to say, he was too. He knew they could only function well in their team of three.

[Jounin-Kakashi]

"THE YOUTHFULL DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!" Yuri shouted a tad too excited, as he struck a pose in his green spandex uniform.

"OUR EXAM AND SEIJI-KUN!" Yuri pointed at his team-mate.

"I will show you that with hard work a aclaimed genius like you even can be beaten." Yuri concluded this with the nice-guy pose, before Nami whacked the back of his head, leaving a huge bump.

"Sorry Nami-san...." Yuri muttered, as he curled up in shame.

"NOOOO WAAAAAAY!!"

Blond zoomed through the streets off Konoha half dressed. Off all freaking days the Kajou had to oversleep now. Mahiro had decided that for today shed have breakfast by herself and let Kazuki catch his rest but it was exactly the reason why he hadn't woken up in time.

"Oh man... OH MAN!!"

The boy skidded to a halt in front off a shop. He jogged on the spot shifting his eyes between the store and the road before he slowly snook inside. His eyes peeking over the counter straight into a girls.

"Ne... Ne!! Aka-chan!! Can you gimme three milk?? MILK MILK!!"

"Sure Kazu-kun"

The brown haired girl laughed opening the fridge behind her. Kazuki had been a regular milk customer for years now. The family owning this shop had little trouble with the blond, he was one off their most faithful if not their most faithful customer after all.

"And good luck on the exams"

"HAAAI!!"

The blond struck a pose before taking the bag and shooting outside. Onwards to the examination hall.

((Not sure how Martzu and Rei wanted the team to enter so I figure in the end they'd just go separately))

Ryou sighed scratching the back off his head while he made his way to the examination hall. His cats had been lingering around the neighborhood last night and he hadn't seen them this morning but.... looking was to troublesome...

"Troublesome damn exams...."

"Ma.... Ma.... Ryou.... Cheer up a bit..."

The Nara grumbled glancing over at the wall off the dumpling shop. Natsu was here to bother him some more wasn't he??

"Let's go wait at the examination building for your team mates"

"Hmmh..."

"You just shut your yap about anything youthful"

The girl cussed to herself clenching her fist in anger. Seiji just shut his eyes leaning back. The room was getting rowdier by the second though, he had briefly spotted a few interesting people but that was about it.

"Just ease up Yuri. Let's not stand out too much right from the get go like we decided upon..."

Yes, they'd hold back a bit at the start just to have the element off surprise later on.

[Jounin-Kakashi]

".... Saying I can't be youthfull is so unyouthfull....." Yuri muttered, but fine. His team-mates wanted him to be quiet so he'd be quiet for now. Allthough that only lasted for about 4-5 seconds.

"Seiji-kun, we should stand out, thats youthfull." So Yuri tried getting on a table and do a youthfull pose, but Yuri utterly failed, because he slipped and smacked his head.

"My head...."

"...." Mushra glared around as he entered the room. So many people in here... He didn't like it.

"These people are all a nuisence...." He muttered, as they were just meaningless room-filling.

[Martzu]

Kinomi had rested well and was looking for her team mates. Where was Ryou-kun, Verielle and Natsu-sensei. They were supposed to meet before exams. And there she saw Ryou-kun and sensei. They had their back towards her.

"Good morning Ryou-kun and Natsu-sensei. Have you seen Verielle. Is she here?"

[GeninNaruto]

Ryou blinked glancing over his shoulder while Natsu raised his hand in a friendly greet. Kinomi was on time as well. They hadn't seen Verielle yet though, maybe the girl was still at home.

"Haven't seen Verielle yet Kinomi, do you know where she lives?"

Ryou had no clue yet anyway. Besides, finding someones house was a tad to troublesome for the Nara's likings.

"Yuri. Stop attracting so much attention"

Seiji said once again. Honestly, the whole point was not to stand out too much right now. As the leader off the team he had to make sure they'd breeze through this.

"Lay low for a bit okay. Your time to be youthful will come soon enough. Nami, you stop ogling boys who look mentally weak as well"

The girl huffed shoving her hands into her pockets. How boring...

[Sasuke's Legacy]

Nobutada didn't really respond besides nodding his head solemnly, not focusing on his anger at Kougane for the most part anymore. The exams were here, no need to make a drag of things and carry on about it after the Hiryuu was gone. He needed all of his energy and intelligence for this.

"Ta-samu?? Who's that Leena-chan?"

The Tarento looked around quietly for someone, but of course it was kind of hopeless, since he had no idea what he was looking for. But it was still a necessary gesture... The genin shook his head and stood up, walking back over to his team and looking at his hand. His technique still wasn't completed... Stupid training.

"So the legends are here as well... Akito-san, and Mushra... Tche."

This was going to be very very hard.

Tasumi had caught sight of an all too familiar girl, and his heart started to thump like a drum set to the fastest tempo possible. But he had to move on, there was no need to grumble about the past. It was best for both of them... it was.

"Leena-chan..."

That was all he could muster to say, but he held back anything else that tried to breakthrough for his former love. Well he still loved her, but it was best that they were separate. The Iruka saw Ken, and assumably his new sensei. Ken had done a mission with Dajiro and him with Kentachi, but they were now switched to this.

"Ken-san!! Where's our third teammate?"

Kougane laughed at Leena's comment before he raised his hand and made a last goodbye gesture. The girl had grown to fit in quite nicely between the polar opposites that were Yuna and Nobutada.

"The rest is up to you Nobutada"

And with that the Hiryuu was gone. Nobutada was the team leader so he'd have to guide them. Yuna now glanced over Leena's shoulder sliding her hands behind her back.

"Whose Tasumi?? Good question Nochi-chan"

Her eyes briefly browsed around but she had not yet caught sight off Akito. She'd find him soon though, it had been far too long since she had seen him anyway.
