Default [D] eragon book 3 - brisingr

i would have put this in the lit section, but that seems more for self written stuff, and this is entertainment.

book 3 of the series is coming sept 20th. its titled Brisingr, and has a black cover, with a golden dragon looking to the right (Glaedr)

check out inheritance cycle home page for more info

ok, so i posted a thread about this already, and its in the lit section, but as i expected, it hasnt got much in the way of response or views.

so yea, book 3 will be called brisingr, not Empire as many people speculated. and it comes out september 20th.

the inheritance trilogy, has become the inheritance cycle, meaning there will be a 4th book.

check out inheritance cycle home page for more info

or better yet Brisingr - Inheriwiki, the Inheritance cycle wiki seems to have the most information out

argh i can't wait for the book to come out. i feel like i have forgotten a lot of the content and storyline since it has been a while since i read it. are you sure that gold dragon is glaedr? could it be that other dragon that wasn't hatched yet? or maybe it was already hatched and is going to be revealed?

Off to lit this goes, generally book threads either go there or GD (judging from the potter book threads)

in that case, could you move this to GD please, so it gets more exposure? XD

lit section always seems to be personally written stuff, which is why i didnt want to post this there

I've always wanted to read this series, i hear the first one was way better than the movies, and those spoilers did give make me rather curious^^. As for moving to gd, give it a chance here? This section is for posting works, sure, but you can also hold litutature discussion here, especially about specific books, and though you may not get quantity in terms of 'exposure,' im' sure you'll get quality =]

The movie was... just terrible.. a horrible disappointment if you've read the book. Just a lot of flashing with the camera on the fight scenes to make it look 'cool', but you never see the actual fighting.

The books are a lot different, and in my opinion, much better.

the movie doesnt even follow the same plot

i consider them 2 completely different things.

and i cant stand the movie.

the books, are epic. well worth the read, i'd say hop on down to your local library and check it out.... or 4th, you could always get your lazy bum up to westminster and borrow it XD

is nobody else here excited about this?

I'm excited but the book is coming out in September. Maybe when it gets closer then the hype would be more, after all it's a long wait.

I was disappointed in the end of the 2nd book, I felt that it did a 90 degree turn and took the story in a clique direction that sprung out of no where.

4 books? Man that would suck...I only bought the first two because I thought it was gonna be 3 and the story would be complete. I hate ongoing stories because I have to wait forever for the next installment and then ppl die and shit and I won't get to read the finale because it never got published........

I have yet to read the first two though...they're sitting on my bookshelf waiting for their final brother.

I will agree with you that trying not to be cliche with the fantasy setting is becoming cliche, but I feel that the generic flat dialog, rehashed one dimensional characters and overly done plot twisted will never be consider cliche to avoid.

I submit George R. R. Martin as my evidence.
