Show two characters staring at each other.. in slow motion.
Zoom in on one of the characters face.. in slow motion.
Zoom out.. in slow motion.
Zoom in on the other characters face.. in slow motion
Zoom out.. in slow motion..
Add some dramatic music to trick you to think something is happening
Zoom back in on faces to show us they're still just staring.
Add some wind effects
Zoom out.. in slow motion to show us the extent of the wind

Repeat the steps above for a few eps, maybe add in some other characters staring at each other with wind blowing in slow motion. Then have a recap ep so people don't forget they're staring at each other in slow motion. Add in some flashbacks of the last episode in case someone forgot whats happening.

Naruto is nothing more than a cashcow now. The first ~80 eps are cool, after that it's been degraded to some piece of shit.

If anything.. learn something from One Piece. They're at 347 eps now and not a single one is boring to watch and the manga isn't much ahead of the anime either.

i kinda agree with that ..... Shippuuden isn't as good as those first 80 epi or let's say the whole first Naruto epi. till 135 .....

but anyway i don't think one piece is realy that great ... even if i see it always have avery gooooooood rating but i son't like it at all .....

i hope that naruto will get to it's very best very soon

I've got to agree to some extent, especially on one piece.
Naruto should have a lot less staring and dialogs it intercepts naruto's flow, if you read the manga you should understand what I'm trying to say.

when i watch one piece in english dub i didn't like the guy who voice yuffie (not sure the name)... naruto shipuuden is good but little bit slow on the story...

I am tried of the dbz pacing I want a good pace and not so many dumb ass fillers like the clone fight that team gai had was a waste of an episode. They atre keeping us from the good arcs by going into another filler. WE had 3 years of this shit give the fans what they want already good quality anime

I also think that the 1st 135 episodes were so much better. I very rarely laugh anymore. And the anime lost its legendary feeling, if u know what i mean...

k a question.,i've stopped watching shippuuden since episode 54 because i got bored with it. i still enjoy the manga a lot btw. I am wondering, did the anime got any better the last 10 episodes?

Why have they not killed Tenten yet? She has to be the most useless character in the series and has no real skills(she just unrolls scrolls). I would be very interested in seeing her last episode, maybe have the giant toad land on her acidentally when he appears.

Okay, I have to say this. I watched the live stream of episode 81 and it had some great animation for a series like Shippuden, but more importantly... The preview for episode 82 looks... It looks like a freakin' movie. Hirofumi Suzuki is the god with animation.

While I have to admit, I think it's somewhat stupid to use him on an episode like 82, which'll have little action at most, he's doing 85 as well. So expect animation greatness for those two episodes.

^Ycagel I'm sure I mentioned something about Suzuki doin 82 to ya ages ago =P he usually does only yhe OP and ED animation art direction. but he did a few eps on Part 1 and if he is on board for future eps shippuuden should definitely see some awesome animation.

I'm pretty certain you did, but that he was doing episode 85 was news to me. That and it's been a long time since I've seen his art (I think it was episode 17 and 19 of the original series), so yeah... the preview for episode 82 surprised me.

The current arc has had better overall animation the other shippuden arcs... Much like part 1 had some good animation for a great deal of the series.

Anyway, I've actually started watching the original Naruto again. I recently found out that it's shown every Thursday over here. Not the dub, but the original Japanese and uncut one with some damn good subtitles. They're up to episode 31 or so.

It's funny how I enjoy those episodes so much more than I enjoy shippuden... Then again, I'm at the part where Oro's just been introduced, and I'm watching it on a television... It's awesome.

I love the anime, its shows me in greater detail what the manga was tryin to say, and you connect with the characters a little better, cos theyre more human, but the pacing is seriously taking the piss now.

I, as a film student, find myself looking to see where they can cut out useless scenes and over long shots from each episode, and i reckon you can cut them down by a good 5 to 7 minutes for each episode, which is frankly a joke.

Not to mention that whole ridiculous filler arc with that little knob sora wasting an entire summer. Just when i thought it couldnt get anymore boring and they were gonna end it, BAM! another episode of Naruto saying how gay he is for Sora and how understands how sora feels, and how if he just got through to Sora then he could take away his demon fox cloak (in my opinion a physical manifestation of his anger and confusion of his innate homosexuality).

Yeah speed it up Kishi (I swear to god he reads these thread).

I don't know if 85 is the one I'd like him to be doing from the upcoming ones but from what I expect there should be some cracking stuff there too. Shippuuden is being managed a lot better and I think they have a bit of an extra budget now, knowing what is in store storywise I can assure everyone that shippuuden will surpass part 1's best (chuunin exams arc) at some point in the next 5-6 months.
