Actually unlike most filler, I would have to disagree. The subplot of "King" was interesting, I don't want to say much more, because it might head into spoilers. The beginning of the filler was interesting, however, it turned into crap once Sora was announced as a nine tails clone. They really had something going at the beginning.

Naruto Shippuuden still has its annoying habit of displaying the meager things. And the whole Sora-Kyuubi thing was absurd, and the way Kazuma got offed was just bad, bad plot but the animation was decent enough to save this fillar arc from becoming a catastrophe.

This filler's episode quality had improved back to how it used to be at pre shippuuden where there was lesser wind effect, zoom into a character for 5seconds, zooms into another characters for 5 seconds, add some wind effect to buy 3 seconds of time.
I hope they maintain this quality in the kakazu and hidan onwards session

anyway yeah, i agree Sora should die instead of surviving, since they are doing a filler they should had do it to the best and having a survivng sora really makes the filler sux like how the +2 ^post said. Poof.. Nine Tail gone. Lame.

well i agree with poncho that this filler was very necessary, it gave us an introduction to some of the unnatural powers we would see in the future, about the "king" talk, and also gave us some insight on the fire temple and asuma's past all in all a very important arc

I liked how they introduced the duo, it seemed dramatic especially stated of with the lunk of Hidan's scythe.

I think that was the first time in shippuden were the akatsuki music was used well. Kakuzu looks scary.

You know what else I just noticed. Kazuma pulled a Zoro move when he charged at Asuma. I think that was a nod to the VA.

The episode was a load of nonsense but the ending was truly beautiful. Hidan and kakuzu made a awesome entry into the anime and I thought there voices fitted really well. I'm glad this filler crap is over and we can get to the real deal. I don't want to spoil anything but if the animators get this arc right, it will be one of the best arcs in naruto ever.

But to be honest I really want to get to the the part which can be read in manga chapters 383 to 394. I want that sh!t animated. All the manga readers know what I'm talking about.

I'm a little upset that the anime made that stupid hidden waterfall filler. Based on that story line you would never think an akatsuki member would come from there. Stupid filler.

well at least the producers know how to grab attention by the snipets at the end but honestly that was a poor ending, not even a notable death...

at least with the 2 new aka-goons it should get exciting. serious pwnage expected and hopefully we can see more of the akatsuki leader. Just as you were about to stop watching naruto altogether eh?

About fucking time, glad fillers ended, after that little souji talk makes it seem that the fillers slid its way smoothly with the storyline. I lol'd at Hidan's comment to the bijuu, voice is not so bad either, glad to finally see those guys.

i am so happy that filler ark was over...soon as they introduced sora as the psuedo kyubi that ark completely went south, and the whole pleading to sora crap was so annoying, almost made me want to bash my head against the wall. However the last few minutes from the sogi game to hidan and kakuzu made that painful dilema worth while.

Yessss finally the crappy fillers are coming to an end. Only to be replaced by crappy, slow, boring versions of the manga. If only they'd stop being so flagrently slow with the anime.

In other news, a decent ep, some good animation in bits, surprising as this team is one of the mediocre ones in the rotation. The conclusion was more or less forgone but am sad that Sora wasn't killed. oh well.

As for Akatsuki and nibi's scene they really did that bit justice, it panned out just like it did in the manga for me. The Akatsuki theme was written with this pair in mind you just know it!!

I also was hoping for a Sora death, alas, it was not meant to be. It seemed like a nice way to get him away from the cannon characters for good, but, I suppose him leaving forever and never coming back works too. Anyway, yes, The Akatsuki theme is win, and I'm so glad we're getting back to normals eps, this arch'll be pretty good if the animators do it justice.
