Sakura; what does she think of Naruto?

I copy pasted my own thread from the manga section, since that one contain some spoilers. There would also be fun to have this discussion with some anime only watchers:

First of all I just want to say that I don't want to make this a Naruto X Sakura thread, so don't keep shouting "OMFG NARUTO AND HINATA SHOLD BE TOGETHER" keep to the subject only.

This is two examples on posts which I don't want, since they will close this thread, which I don't want:

Before shippuden she seemed to hate him but when Naruto returned Sakura seemed allot friendlier with Naruto, more then she was before, is it only because Sakura has matured into a woman? or do she consider Naruto a close friend whom has returned from a voyage? or is she interested in him? What do you think?

Are you blind? She loved Naruto even in part 1. She only loved SASUKE since everyone else loved him, and didn't want to be left out. Did you remember the first scene which Sakura said she loved Sasuke and its content? "HEY HEY Ino I found someone I love" "oh whom is it?" "Sasuke" "Oh it is like everyone else" She did simple fall in love with him because of the group pressure which was on her. The second part is "Oh I should bring Sasuke some "candy"" (normal expression is shown with no girl interest in it) "... Oh and some for Naruto too, he would probably eat anything" (here we did get a real girlish expression and smile which expressed her feelings). So simply put SHE loves Naruto and HAVE never loved Sasuke.

Correct she thought she loved him, but in my opinion she didn't. The first time she said she loved Sasuke is in a flashback when they were kids. In the flashback she did run to Ino and said:
"Hey hey hey I finally found someone I love" - Sakura
"Whom is it?" - Ino
"Sasuke" - Sakura
"Every girls loves him" - Ino
This sounds that she "begun" "loved" him under the wrong reasons, thats is under group pressure. In my opinion she might have misunderstood her feelings for Sasuke for love for some other feelings such as admire and etcetera.
The second reason why I think so is after the chunin exam. When she says that she is going to bring Sasuke some sweets she has this plain and normal smile, nothing you make when you think of your beloved one. When she says she is going to bring Naruto some sweets she gets this girlish smile and girlish way, "exactly" what a girl in love reacts when she talks about her beloved one.
The third reason is the beginning after the time skip when she first talk to Naruto, she flirts allot with him before Konohamaru shows up and the pervertedness begins.
The fourth reason is that in some "love" mangas the couple usually fights with each other to later love each each other allot, love hina is an example of it.

there is a fifth reason to, after she healed naruto when he went all 4 tailed yamato told her thet he can see how she feels about naruto. i dont know about you but thet what made it clear to me.

I think her feelings t/w sasuke were in the way befor. But naw that hes out of the way her true feelings are becoming to bloom. She is starting to see that sasuke isnt ther for her. She naw understands that Naruto is the one to be ther for herand always will be.

i think she considers him as her closest friend. who else would it be? there is no one we have ever seen. ino was her only true friend before.
but it's definetly not love, more like a sister and brother love. and i also think naruto has changed and is not so in love with here like before. to me its more like a joke between friends, when he asks her for a date.

Kind of the way Tsunade feels about Jiraiya, but less exagerated.

Whereas Tsunade and Jiraiya are not close at all, Naruto and Sakura still have a close connection since they haven't been separated longer than 2 (right?) years. But in the same way Sakura will never fall for Naruto, she only cares for him as a close friend.

She did however get more concerned about Naruto's feelings as Sasuke got out of the picture, as she wasn't so fixed on him anymore.

I think the development of the relationship between Naruto and Sakura is not unlike many other mangas. Although if anything ever happens insofar as Sakura admitting/confessing her feelings it would have to be near or at the end of the manga. I can't see it happening anywhere else.

It is like that they both become closer friends than before. Sakura is starting to like naruto but maybe love is not still there between them. She is only showing naruto that she cared because sasuke left the village and chose revenge.

I realized that Sakura sees Naruto differently after Naruto faught with Oro in which he transformed into Kyuubi. Yamato almost once tried 2 explain 2 Sakura that she actually cared bout Naruto.

^^ Just what I was going to say. Her feelings changed for Naruto since the Chunnin exams and developed more during the Sasuke Retrival Arc.

Chunnin Exam- She realizes she is the weakest in the group. She always thought she was at least better than Naruto. This is more like admiration than anything else.

Begining of Sasuke Retrival Arc- When she finds out that Naruto risked his life to save her from Garaa, she was going over in her head. This brought more respect to Naruto as a comrade and team member.

When Sasuke runs away and Naruto and the team is headed to bring him back. This one is obvious. She's crying, making a scene and Rock Lee points out that Naruto used his "cool guy pose". IMO I think this sparked a small interest within Sakura.

When Naruto is brought back near death, Sakura is feeling guilty and remorse but she's glad he came back in time.

Naruto goes off to train and comes back. Sakura is impressed how Naruto grew and was interested. Naruto messes that up with his new "super sexy jutsu". This reverts her interest to her old view of Naruto.

Like Fathishino said, fighting Oro made her Sakura unconsciously go close to Naruto which Yamato caught and tried to tell her directly unlike those stupid characters who want to make a damn game out of it

Oh, and Sakura never loved Sasuke. She was freaking 7 when she said that crap. Its more of an infatuation because Sasuke has a cool aura and being top among the students is a bigger plus. And this doesn't develop to anything more than a mere fangirl who doesn't know when to stfu.

She is just really close friends with him. I doubt she is in love with him for one very simple reason. Forgive me if this sounds sappy, but feelings like those Sakura had for Sasuke aren't something that can be removed from the picture so easily. And another reason Sakura probably doesn't, or won't in the future, love Naruto is because if you watched the anime you saw how totally horrified she was of 4T Naruto. If I was a girl, which I'm not, I wouldn't date someone who almost killed me in beast mode. Sense of self- preservation and all that.
Besides, I think they are more like brother and sister
