Is Sasuke TRULY Evil? - Page 19

This thread just shows that it depends on what your definition of evil is. To some just the fact that he is attempting to take revenge would make him evil. To others someone has to have a kill everyone and rule the rest mentality to make them evil. Evil has a very broad definition and is interpreted differently by a lot of people.

If I had to guess I would say that Sasuke's interpretation of evil is very conservative.

Nope. He is a man on a mission and that's is all that matters to him. To kill his brother. He will let nothing or anyone get in the way of that.

he's not evil just misguided- then again i think noone is truly evil just their ideas and path is in conflict with what is considered to be morally acceptable hence they have lost their way somewhere in their life.

The only truely evil one in the whole manga was/is orochimaru, i don't know what happened to the cute boy asking the 3rd about his parents to make him into the cold blooded monster he later became.

his ideals were different from the norm. He became misguided and thought he was right in his actions but anyone else could see he had become twisted/demented barring kabuto!

he seems to fear itachi though

about sasuke... hes cold, hes driven, mebbe even monstrous but hes not evil

sasuke has he's own goals.period. i dont see that as i crime or being evil...shoot he hasnt even KILLED anyone yet...unlike that brain-dead hero naruto...

I've jokingly told some of my friends that Sasuke is the evolutionary equivalent of an emotional amoeba. I mean, come on, his brother that he loved and idolized killed off his clan when he was 8, didn't have any bonds until Team 7... then relaxed for a while and just as you see the fabled "opposable" thumb develop, Itachi reappears... I'm sure that all his time with Orochimaru is not making him a happy camper either... And that's as far as the anime goes presently.

I really like Sasuke- for all his flaws and coo-coo moments. He's not evil, he's just the product of his experiences...

i dont think he's truely evil i think he just strayed down the wrong path and wants 2 get revenge on his bro itachi tahts what he is always saying i have 2 kill itachi i have 2 get itachi......well i think he is consumed by vengance and wont do anything else untill he gets revenge on his brother Itachi

I don't find Sasuke evil, everyone would've seeken revenge after what Itachi did; still I find him cold.

His heart is pure, and easily coloured.

Sasuke isn't evil, he's a wanna be bad guy...He tries so hard to make himself look badass, make it seem like he will kill anyone in his way, yet when it comes down to it, he just lets people live. Hes like vegeta or the guy from Samurai shamploo, they try to act like a bad guy for the entire series when in the end, their core is still good.

Hes just doing what he believes and so far none of his act are intolerance to me. I do think hes a good guy but his future will never cross as good acquaintance with naruto anymore

I don't think Sasuke is a bad guy.
I mean, he left the village and all, but he's trying to do what he feel he need's to do, and thats kill Itachi. In order to do that he needs to go to Orochimaru for guidance, hence him leaving the village. I think he will return one day.
