Is Sasuke TRULY Evil?

So here I am thinking about what I just wrote in the "Fav bad guy" thread and I got to thinking. How many of you all really think Sasuke is evil?

I for one do not think he is evil. From how the anime has gone so far he has not killed anyone in cold blood and has not committed any real crimes. Most ninja who exile themselves do so because they are after their own village and want to take revenge on it ala Oro...

However, Sasuke left the village because he wanted to seek a different form of power. He went with Oro because he saw he could gain nothing else from training with Kakashi in Konoha. He is trying to get stronger so that he could kil Itachi.

Now, Manga readers may have something else to say but please no spoilers =D. From where we are in the Anime...can anyone really say if he is evil or not?

I dont think hes really evil he just wants to gain the power by any means to take down Itachi, some of the acts hes done can be considered evil of course but as far as he goes I think its more of a "I wont let anything stand in my way" attitude that makes him the way he is though just going from the anime at this point its hard to say forsure.

But what things has he done that would even be considered evil? I know some people think that he is evil or a bad guy or whatever but he has not done anything to prove that.

Wait, we've only scene sasuke in one scene so how can any anime watcher comment on what he's done or whose he has killed?

You say manga reader stay out, but the only way anyone can comment on this question is by examining more of sasuke than what's been shown in the anime. I mean, we didn't even get to see the end of the scene with sasuke, whose to say he's not going to kill naruto or sakura right there?

Personally, from what we've seen sasuke seems cold and very evil.

I don 't think that their is an evil bone in Sasuke 's body. All of those things are right but, also Sasuke dwells on his past to the point of insanity. I think that what made him worse about his emotions toward itachi is that he kept everything inside. It also does n 't help that he witnessed his parents murder by the hands of his own brother. In conclusion, Sasuke is a good boy who just made some unwise choices. That is just my opinion.

Monster? Wtf no, Naruto is more of a monster than Sasuke in reality...

4th...I say for the Manga guys to stay out of this because it is not about spoilers...

What I am getting at though is how some people in some threads think he is pure evil and the incarnation of the devil himself.

That is what I am trying to debate on and find out...how are some people coming to that conclusion and what parts of the anime prove that? Nothing that I have seen...

Sasuke kind of reminds me of vegeta in a way...

Leaving your village and going against you friends is surely considered evil by people in the Naruto universe especially when they are risking there lives to bring you back and you just continue to go against them I think but again going by the anime we are limited.

Hrm I can see what you mean by it being evil in the Narutoverse but what...is it considered treason or some thing like that?

When I think of evil I think of Itachi, killing without reason...I think of Cell, destroying for fun...

That to me is evil. I see Sasuke as vengeful as some of you have said. I wish I could discuss the manga but reading on the computer is not so fun =p

Yeah thats why I said hes not really evil but some people may not see it like that is all, its all how they will view it.

In reality no, I believe sasuke intentions are pure; revenge is not a evil trait. If that was the case alot of the people that we call hero's both fictional and real would be evil (malcom x, batman, george bush....well dunno if i should use this guy styll).

In any case, I believe sasuke is the way he is for two reasons:

1. He wants to avenge the murder of his family, his clan and basically his childhood
2. He wants to protect others from the same fat, particularily Naruto; who Itachi and Akatski are after.....

I don't like him but hes not evil

Sasuke is not truely evil, he's just truely emo.
It's obvious he's not going to be evil because he is the "anti-hero". Some examples are Vegta and Sesshomaru. Both of them try to portray this badass evil attitude but in the end they help out the good guys in the decisive battles. He'll come around.
Anyone else notice that "anti-heroes" seem to be the most popular characters, especially with the younger members of the audience?

if he was truely evil he would go out of his way to hurt\kill naruto and sakura and didnt he say thank you to sakura right before he left?

The only thing sasuke wants to do in the anime so far is kill itachi because itachi murdered his entire clan...i dont see any evil in sasuke at all. In fact he took a nicer route than itachi told sasuke to take because he didnt kill naruto when he could of, he just walked off.

I dont see where this 'evil sasuke' came from.

Thats because they arn't as predictable as the protagonist characters. I hate Goku and I dispise Superman by I love Vegeta and batman is the sh!t...Professor X = lame v. Magneto = yay!! (lol yay lol) catch my drift....

Typical hero like characters are boring; they have no edge....except Naruto because atleast he wasnt the best, he still doenst get that much glory, and the show just has his name on it when it should be called SASUKE (this thought mind you has been bottled up for years)

Theres

1. Good Guys
2. Bad Guys
3. People who just don't help

Now Sasuke is option 3
So he isn't bad he just doesn't help the main character
So you could say hes neutral

And he may want to take the emo test
