mostly flash backs

like when Rock Lee fought Gaara there was one episode when all that happened was Lee talked about his training with Gai Sensai

I will fill in the manga chapter when the total sum reaches 10 i don't have the stanima to do that now.

Update:

Naruto shippuden 03 fillers:

-Frikking lame ass fights which was filler in the manga it is no fight at all.

- Jiraya, Tsunade and Anko dosn't watch the fight, therfore no lame comments by them.

- Kakashi hasn't show us that he can do the lotus, but he can open the gates, in the manga.

^Well I think the fight wasn't lame although the part where Naruto used Rasengan ruined it.

Hey, nice job. Everyone who doesn't read the manga should read this...

Some errors I noticed:
Ep. 220.
- The scene was Gaara talks with Kabuto about “true strength” or something like that exists also in the manga up ahead. -> It would be Kankurou, not Kabuto I think.

Shippuuden Ep. 03.
- Jiraya, Tsunade and Anko dosn't watch the fight, therfore no lame comments by them. -> It'd be Shizune, not Anko.

Some fillers are funny, like the one where the gang tries to find out the face behind kakashi's mask.

I havent watched any of the episodes in the filler arcs, tho.

Kakashi also opens the gates during the Chunnin Final Exam Rest Preparation Arc
he was going up a mountain one hand and he releases a gate, dont know if its canon or non canon

Kakashi opens the gate in thhat arc, i think, but when you mentioned it i will double check it, but that will be tonight when i get home since i got the manga there. Fillers in episode 4 is comming up soon haven't had the time to write it.

they had to since from what i heard she gets introduced late in the manga, plus she only did one technique where it also screwed her over

Nice job i hate fillers except the one where they atempt to see Kakashi's face.
I also like extended battles through many episodes like the Gaara Lee fight (episode 48-50).

Anime series

Filler can also refer to a term regarding some episodes of manga-based anime. Filler episodes are usually used to give the manga storyline time to get ahead of the anime story, as a single anime episode may use several chapters of manga as storyline material.
Anime fillers are met with many of the same criticisms as their television counterparts, as well as a few unique ones. Aside from the regular complaints, the fact that the series is based on a manga makes the possibility of plot contradictions all the more probable, since there is often little communication between the two groups. The series Naruto from late May 2005 to early February 2007 was filler (with the exception of the occassional scene) only to allow its manga source to get ahead. This comprises one of the longest continuous and perhaps the most filler ever in any series with well over eighty episodes in a row. As opposed to Rurouni Kenshin which went in a completely different direction and became extremely unpopular with fans the Naruto filler didn't make the anime series go into a different direction than the Manga intended to go. It did give some more insight into other characters, such as Anko, Kiba, and Hinata, and it showed the development of Naruto's relations with some of his friends. This left fans in somewhat of a limbo waiting for the anime to resume its normal storyline.
