I wonder what Oro is gonna do now...I would think he'd retreat, he just nearly almost got wtf pwned. I'd want to get the hell out of there. Not to mention he would have to be weak in whatever "Form" he is since he technically doesn't have a body now right?

this was one of the most anticipated fight of the manga. but it felt more like a back story to the sharingan and madara. i am abit disappointed, and if it really is over, what sasuke does now? try to kill madara? cause he helped kill everyone in the village?

This fight proves that Sasuke as good as he got has jack on Itachi.

Sasuke struggled like this and Itachi was fighting practically blind.

If Itachi's eyesight was great Sasuke would've been flat out annihilated. Seems after all that cockiness he still wasn't ready for Itachi.

WHAT IS YOUR POINT... All Orochimaru did was get one slash to the face... Wow what a big help he was to Sasuke... In the end Sasuke came out on top. I'm not saying Itachi couldn't have won, but he didn't.

Ive been trying to come up with a clever way to describe this outcome and I think I might have found one. "sasuke may have won the battle (*cough* by default *cough*), but Itachi won their little personal war." Sasuke never got to actually deliver the final blow and kill Itachi, thus everything he's done up until now was basically a waste since that's all sasuke's ever wanted. Physical part of battle goes to sasuke, emotional goes to itachi hands down.

Technically everyone wins then *Fanboy wise* (unless you wanted itachi to live and sasuke to die...grumble grumble)

I think that everyone who thinks this fight was gay needs to:

A) Erase from your mind how you would want this fight to be, because you are not the creator and most likely whatever you would make would suck anyways.

B) Go back and reread the entire fight. Without long, drawn out, high anticipation, and ridiculous theories clouding my judgement I found the entire fight far cooler the second time around.

Truth be told, people like to complain about how this fight turned out *coughDussancough* but that's only because it didn't turn out the way they wanted it to. It should have been obvious that genjutsu would be a big thing in a fight between two Uchiha. It should be obvious that Sasuke would spam chidori and CS every four seconds. It was obvious and awesome that Itachi was (and did) show us all 3 of his MS techniques. And it was badass to see Sasuke's new jutsu that is fundamentally different from anything we've seen before. Then toss in the info we've learned and the Oro-cameo and this nostalgic ending (assuming the spoilers are true AND Itachi does not give Sasuke his eyes), and you have one great salad.

Altogher I'd say this fight was not what most of us were expecting, but that doesn't make it bad, only... not what we were expecting. I thought it was cool as I was going through it, and after reading the fight over again today I thought it was even more badass. I suggest that you stop looking at what didn't happen and concentrate on what did.

So does this mean the rest of the year we have to read about Sasuke in depression for wasting the last three years and still not killing Itachi.

You don't get the fact that Sasuke has been protected this whole fight by Orochimaru's power. You don't get it that Sasuke was talking shit and his ultimate jutsu couldn't finish Itachi off. Itachi might be face down on the dirt but can you can tell me if Sasuke didn't have Orochimaru's power the result would have been the same? You can tell me that if Itachi wasn't as blind as he was when this fight started the result would have been the same? Can you explain to me why Sasuke is on his knees after trash talking?

, wow you definitely see things through your Uchihaeyes. Sasuke is the biggest sell out in the manga. Atleast Itachi is evil. Sasuke doesn't know what he wants to be. He was willing to give his body over to Oro and potentially destroy his village for his lust of revenge.

I think the fact Sasuke is confused on what he wants to do is justification for his selling out Konoha. He made a snap decison under pressure with barely any time to think.

Itachi intentionally killed his clan and left his brother alive with the intention to take his eyes.

He is fucking evil.
He's a fucking sellout.

And now he's dead meat. Deal with it, instead of bagging on Sasuke for killing your precious character.
