Well if Itachi dies like this without any more insight for us, this'll mean that we are definitely going to see him again later on, in a flashback of some sort, his role cannot be fully understood imo until we get someone else's perspective (i wonder who that could be)

However for now the pressing issue for me is team konoha, cmon kishi show me wht u got!

Question, the last pic that bigboi showed had an overhead shot of sasuke and itachi....I'm wonderin if sasuke still has the CS.

i'm wondering if the CS can be removed. i think it can be surpressed tho, like anko did. i'm not sure how it would impact on the story line, if he lost it.

It seems that the overhead angle shows the head blocking the part where the CS would be (imo anyway) i dont know how kishi's gonna spin it for cs to be removed from him unless that physical part of sasuke was used by oro to free himself and give his consciousness some form.

i can buy that, oro used the seal to produce a body.

i cant say sasuke won this fight. for the last 3 minutes he's been on his knees or just standing there. which leads me to maybe think this is the only reason he's not dead like his bro. who is still moving and using a jutsu. in the end i think itachi won but at a huge price (his life or so it seems). im still holding out that itachi simply fell into a coma or just past out. because he hit the floor doesnt mean he's dead. even if his cloak came off, who knows kishi read the post about it and threw this in to screw with our cloak removal theory..lol.

in the end kishi wrote it out that itachi won the fight but sasuke simply survived it. i think its a win/win. as we know sasuke is a main character (should be the titled character) and i think it would have been to soon for him to be as powerful as itachi. because if he was already, think how much stronger he will get in the future. we know he's going to learn something else thats going to make us all bitch as to how godly he is then. so its fitting for itachi to fight him now where sasuke is powerful enough to make him show us all his MS tech.

Heres summat i thought about whilst beer in hand last night:
what if oro has escaped the gejutsu blade of doom and manages to come back as him old self cos think about he was ripped out of sasuke.....
what would happen if he comes face to face with kabuto?? do you think they will go back to normal or do you think oro might try to take him over or even yet kill him for trying to be him???

Who's to say that Itachi had a choice in "turning off" Amaterasu after he used it to consume Sasuke's Katon the first time? I assume that he used it and it was out of juice after eating Sas's fire, or else there would have been no reason for him to stop it just to do another. For some reason he couldn't use the first Amaterasu to attack Sasuke, so don't assume that he could have and just pwned Sasuke.


So basically, you are assuming that if Itachi had wanted to that first Amateasu could have been used to attack Sasuke. I disagree, becasue if that was so then he wouldn't have "cancelled" it or w/e in the first place, he would have attacked Sasuke with it. For some reason (I mentioned a few possibilities in my post) he could not use it to attack Sasuke and therefore had to do it a second time. Saying that he didn't use the first Amaterasu to attack Sasuke because he didn't want to damage the eyes is wrong, because Itachi has control over the fire and can direct and stop it however he wants.

damn some white snakes. i dont want oro to die or be locked away in a bottle for all eternity. however, i also dont want to see his pedo' ass anytime soon. i just want this fight to conclude simply because i think the leaf vs tobi fight is going to be much more interesting.

Sigh, at the end of the day neither one of us can truely support or theories since they are based on assumptions. You very well may be right that itachi may have had the ability shrink its scale at will during the first, but we've only ever actually seen it this first time. I concede your theory is every bit as valid and possible as mine, I'm sorry if I gave off the feeling that my theory was the only possible one. (still prefer my theory over yours of course but in the end, its fun to think about how things could have turned out differently.)

Not to mention I just realized if itachi was going for kill and didn't need eyes, the fight would have never happened since there's (supposedly) no other motive for itachi to leave sasuke alive when he killed clan. I feel so dumb for just realizing that.

Plus, is it me or does it seem like kishi seems to be avoiding panels where sasuke's shoulder would be visible, thus no idea if cs is really gone.
