Will everyone quit with saying Itachi is like Hitler, whoever said Itachi killed the clan to reform it in his own image, (STFU

) We have no idea why he truely did it. As far as we know and I hope its this, The uchihas might have had a secret plot to overthrow Konoha. Actually wait until the truth is revealed before making retarded statements please.

No need to freak out about it. Hell i still find it hard to believe itachi = good guy even after what madara said but it will be made clear in the next 2 to 3 chapters so its all good.

^ the "uchiha overthrow konoha" thing is possible, but then why even kill the children and elderly, dont think a random 10 year-old uchiha would be in on that plan

Please ppl don't say Itachi is a good guy cause he isn't untill they say taht. I mean he had no problem killing Naruto and extracting Kyuubi and killing Konoha ninjas.

If he could yes.........it was Itachi's responsibility to extract Kyuubi, he was after Naruto and he was gonna take the fox's power if he could.

Has anyone thought, maybe sasuke was protected by Itachi for the eyes so that Tobi doesn't get sasuke's eyes?

you know they're fighting over eyes basically.

That actually makes sense. WOW. It makes a lot of sense. Itachi and Madara were battling over Sasuke. Madara wanted to destroy konoha and the shinobi world with Sasuke/Sasuke's eyes. Itachi was trying to stop Madara by getting Sasuke's eyes and using the EMS to take out Madara.

That´s a difficult question indeed. I believe that he was going after Sasukes eyes but he hoped that Sasuke is strong enough to defend himself against his attacks. Like I posted before Itachi had 2 options for killing Madara.

1.) Itachi take Sasukes eyes and gain EMS in order to defeat Madara
2.) Sasuke defeats Itachi and Itachi gives his powers to Sasuke so there´s another person in the Narutoverse who´s a match for Madara.

That´s why I believe that he was going after Sasukes eyes from the beginning but he knew Sasukes potential and hoped that Sasuke defeat him. I would say that the Itachi vs. Sasuke was a "who will fight Madara" fight. So the winner of this fight(Sasuke) is the one who will face Madara.

You see that Itachi transplanted all of his eye techniques into Sasuke. Which means that Sasuke got the MS. He´s able to use Amaterasu, Tsukoyomi and Susano. He got the MS but he loses the CS. That´s what I call a power up. I mean you just have to look at the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight and you´ll see that the MS is more powerful.

I have mixed feelings about this chapter...So Itachi isn't the sadistic clan killing badass at heart like I thought he was? And now Sasuke's just that much more badass?? How is Naruto ever going to catch up now?

I can't decide if I liked this or not.

So if that is true Sasuke and Naruto are headed on a collision course. Naruto is going to have to take out Pain and Sasuke is going to have to take out Madara since Pain and Madara are conspiring to destroy the whole shinobi world. I keep telling people (not necessarily here) that Sasuke and Naruto are going to have to team up eventually. Team Kakashi is going to get back together. Based on the path I see, after kakashi become hokage Madara and Pain will move into the final phase of their plan. I'd put money on it.
