I initial thought this chapter completely ruined Itachi's character but there is still an opening for him to be evil if the battle between him and Madara was over who was going to have control of the ultimate Uchiha power.

Yeah, but it's just that Tobi's words make Itachi seem like a truly good guy. That would be ruining the character in my opinion. If he did truly want to take Sasuke's eyes in the start, but then decided to give Sasuke his MS when he realized he would lose, then yeah, he would still be awesome.

Itachi's blood fell into sasukes left eye when he poked him on the forehead.(which ironically is the eye in which amaterasu came out of sasuke)

Well this was Itachi doing some amazing technique and Sasuke is an Ulchia, so getting all his techniques shouldn't be hard to swollow, personally I don't need a full explination, but a more indepth one would be good. I was planning on just taking what happend and run with it.

There we go, our indepth explination, but I didn't see the blood go into his eye, but that doesn't mean it didn't we are reading still pictures, so that would be safe to assume. That or he just needed blood to touch his forehead, which it did to carry out the transfer. They use blood to transfer mystic beast and creatures from one dimension to the other. Being the genius Itachi is, why not transfers ones techniques. Oh ya made me remember I lol'd @ Madara going "Itachi, Itachi, Itachi, even after death you cease to amaize me"

Shit, you bring yet another interesting question DM...hhmmm... don't know, Madara did refer to it as a last attempt to kill him. I hope Sasuke has MS......but if he does have MS, will he go blind as well. Or will being exposed to Itachi's MS(one shot deal) trigger something in his gene to unlock his own MS without having to worry aobut going blind?

Heres a thought maybe itachi didn't kill the clan the only person to see anyone die was sasuke and the people he watched die were his mum and dad. Now madara said himself he had no use for the clan, so maybe it was only madara. True sasuke did see itachi kill his mum and dad but the Sharingan has many different genjutsus and at that point sasuke didn't have a sharigan himself. Then all madara has to do is make it look like itachi did it. Itachi is good but he can't fight off Konoha on his own. Itachi's last choice is to go to madara now.

Something is still off Itachi himself never said he killed the clan even when kisame said I heard the uchiha were all killed by none other then yourself. Itachi didn't answer him, I think the only reason he went along with madara's plan was because Itachi knew sasuke might one day be able to beat madara. The only way Itachi can get sasuke to want to become stronger was to make sasuke hate him.

Come to think of it we have never seen Itachi try and kill someone besides Oro who was evil himself he just uses genjutsu which can't really hurt you just make you pass out. Even when he was fighting kakashi in part 1 he used Tsukuyomi to make him pass out when he could have just as easily used Amaterasu to kill him. Itachi doesn't really like to fight and when he does he likes to get it done quickly he never really showed any enjoyment when hes using violence.

Well I've had this prediction for a long time and it might happen . The Uchihas were planning on taking over konoha and itachi kills them . The End. haha

Thought about that but madara is honestly not a good guy if he's sided with pein who wants to destroy the world. If the uchiha wanted to overthrow konoha wouldn't madara embrace them?

Then again madara telling sasuke how he knew about itachi and all his plans is weird in itself. Why would madara really say anything about the person who really wanted to kill him?

Madara is a bad guy from the point of view of the reader but its very rare that in anime the villein is bad because he wants to be more often then not the villein believes what he is doing is the right thing even though its not.

Heh im sorry if i sounded a litte defensive, im just tired of the sharingan rant.

And to the last part, thats one thing i dont know.

Maybe its some sort of Uchiha HIV thing, since his blood entered his body by way of the eyesockets, thats one way you can literally transmit a disease in realife.
I wouldnt be surprised if he only has the MS in his left eye though, heh kakashi 2.0.

It could possibly only last as long at the blood remains in the eye aswell...at this point i can say anything for sure.

I really don't get where all you guys are getting this insane idea about the uchiha clan conspiring to overthrow/destroy konoha, i think someone just cooked up that notion to back up their whole fantastical plan that itach was a living saint.

What madara probably means when he refers to itachi protecting konoha and the ninja world in general is that he tried to thwart madara's attempt, the only person who's been trying to sabotage the organisation that is konoha on numerous attempts is madara, that's based on proper manga fact, any insinuation that the uchiha in general were involved is BULL until more info is provided, from what we know the uchiha were incharge of konoha's military police division and so were very closely involved with the protection of the village, nowhere in the manga is there even an inkling to support that they were organising an uprising...

if that was the case surely madara wouldn't assist itachi in killing them all, and those that say that itachi wasn't involved well please save it till someone says otherwise... the whole scenario has been shaken yes, but for kishi to have based so many chapters and divulge so much information and then for it all to be one big, long, REPEATED lie is just rubbish... time for a reality check!

Edit: I just noticed this line as well, Madara on pg 15 "You asked Itachi yourself about the person who HELPED him that night!!" the massacre still happened guys and madara helped him....

pretty simple.
itachi got MS because he killed his best friend. Who somehow must have been evil.
Meaning the whole uchiha clan must have been really screwed up.
now madara must tell sasuke something before sasuke invokes amaterasu again. and to convince sasuke to extract the kyuubi to serve his ultimate plans.

I think he can use tsukyomi, (madara said that he gave him the power of his eyes) but sasuke probably doesn't have chakra just at the minute, and i dunno if he'll get the chance since we don't know if this ms was just a one off
