This chapter makes Itachi's death all the more frustrating.

It just feels like Kishi needed an excuse to give Sasuke MS and weighed up all the BS reasons he could think of and this one just came out on top.

This chapter did have some moments of interest (@leroy; I am also curious as to how Madara got rid of Ameretsu).

The Boss was Itachi in this Case.

This chap raises so many questions it is almost making my head spin

I guess the old speculations about itachi never hurting anyone might have been right after all.

Big questions is was he doing it alone or was he working for root or 3rd or jiraya??

Also it raises questions like mayby the entire clan was a bad aple just like itachi described em and he killed em off to save sasuke or was it a plan of madara and he did it to get madara away from sasuke ?

It might explain why jiraya knew so much that he even implied that madara was alive, was itachi secretlyfeeding him info as a spy on akatski/madara or was he solo and just passed on messages to jiraya to ensure the leaf was allways safe.

Until madara reveals more i guess all we can say is itachi is still evil until how and why is explained, i mean to kill off ur clan u need a pretty good reason, this kinda feels like we might get some development on root soon into story again.
Heck he mindraped his lil bro 2x, damn sasuke gona need a lot of love after this gets explained, i think he will need a hug as he is mentaly violated once more.

Another question did itachi give naruto any knowledge of this at all when they meet, did he leave something with naruto so he would know ?

you have to wonder... 1. how shodai stopped madara in the first place . 2 how he will be stopped now. Im not saying amaratsu is the end all be all of ninjutsu... but its pretty damn close and madara shrugged it off like it was nothing... Its going to be interesting to see how his and peins weaknesses are exposed. Also I think this gives itachi's death meaning over him just being a barrier for sasuke to hate and overcome, "I need to prepare my little brother for something i cannot do myself" *Shrug* who knows , i wont jump on the itachi is a good guy bandwagon yet,some of the things he said during his fight with sasuke seem a bit to crazy for him to be this closet good guy.. no chapter next week makes me

You might be onto something! I remember someone Speculating that Itachi was Jiraiya's Akatsuki spy a year ago.

But Jiraiya didnt seem to know too much about what was going on. Maybe Itachi Kept info from jiraiya so that Tobi wouldnt get suspicious

Ohh how Kakashi senpais words must be burning in sasukes mind right now, heck i wonder if this is the turning point to where he will either seek to return to the leaf and realize all he has done is in vain or will it lead him into a darker path, i cant stop thinking madara want sasuke for something.

Those marks on madara/tobi kinda remind me of naruto's face, heck he kinda ressembels obito as well, damn we gona suffer for weeks i bet before we get evrything explained over sevral chaps.

Also another question i got is, did itachi just transfeer all his eye jutsu as triggers or can sasuke use them off own will if he learns how?

It just hit me, kishi better do a full Itachi gaiden now so we get to know fairly whats really happened and why itach did what he did, unless madara is just BS psyching sasuke that is.

most likely it has been injured my guess is by the 4th or shodai but thats just a guess

also this chapter was sick, itachi is good and im still amazed that itachi new how a jutsu that literally implanted MS in sasuke

also i wonder if this can be used to transfer the sharingan to a non uchiha??? who knows but kishi has done a great job lately i cant wait for next week

So, I wonder if those head tappings Itachi did to Sasuke in the past, was to store some power over time. I almost want to go as far as saying maybe Itachi was responsible for Sasuke achieving the sharingan in the first place, just to make sure he develops it.

Also, even though there was a three year gap, Itachi could also be responsible for Kakashi's MS (through Itachi's torture technique), but it was up to Kakashi to figure it out in order for it to trigger (and Kakashi still may not understand Itachi's true intentions). Sasuke and Kakashi both went through that process.

I beg to differ.

Unless your definition of a good job is killing off the best character in a lame way and then wasting a chapter by giving out very little information. I mean for god sakes, half the panels in this weeks chapter that were empty of dialog really were not needed. Kishi could have revealed a lot more than he did.

Chapter was ok it wasn't terribly exciting, just alot of close ups of sasukes emo face. I already suspeected that he had MS implanted by Itachi's blood but was amazed how easily Madara survived that technique.
