Anyways, I also think this chapter was somewhat lacking. Itachi giving Sasuke his techniques seemed a little convenient and useless at the same time. "Oh I'll just give my brother prolonged blindness." What a nice guy.

This chapter could have definitely had more to it. There was no need to waste two whole pages on a one sentence line, being artistic or not.

Anyways I am sure you are right. The last thing we need are people thinking that Itachi is a great guy lol. I think he put his eye techniques into Sasuke because he realized he wasnt going to get his lil bro's eyes. In other words... He failed Plan A (steal Sasuke's eyes) and resort to plan B (give Sasuke a chance to be the one to defeat madara).

I agree with that wholly, this is what i stated when the Sasuke-Itachi fight was happening at the very end, there was a lot of debate as to whether Itachi wanted sasuke's eyes/going for the eyes and I said that he probably changed his mind.

I think Itachi just had a change of heart, and he did it cos he realised it was too late for him. It keeps him badass though cos with a poke of the forehead he transferred some of the strongest dojutsu we know of into sasuke and madara (king of sharingan) almost didn't see it coming!


Another note, Tobi was probably feeling the heat of amaterasu and more out of shock than anything he fell back (pg 5 top right panel) he then just got rid of the amaterasu (either with his STJ of some other closely related technique) and recomposed himself only THEN did he realise what Itachi had done... which makes Itachi even more uber...

however this leads me to believe that the MOST important thing that we are learning in this chapter is that Madara's sharingan can trigger other sharingan, is that possibly why Kakashi's MS was activated in the previous chapter!?! (yes i know i had a long debate about him opening a ST portal with it, which is still possible) and is this really the way that madara plans to use sasuke to further his ambitions, maybe even lead him on for a while and then at the right moment, BAM trigger sasuke's sharingan, take over kyuubi or sumthing and complete his/akatsuki's world domination jutsu

Maybe because Sasuke has his brother's eyes now, wouldn't it be possible for him to in that way achieve EMS? Just a thought that crossed my mind. I'll admit it's not very probable (mostly because Sasuke didn't even have MS yet and he didn't really get the eyes of his brother as such) but it's something that crossed my mind...

The blood also makes it less probable, but if this has any chance of being true, then that can be blamed on his inexperience.

However, as I start thinking about it more, this seems pretty unprobable and is increasingly so. :(

enough already. Didnt you see the wrinkle on his cheek? the body is old. Even if the madara use some kindda technique to use another's body, that body is not obito's. Look at kakashi, he is the same age as obito. .....

..after reading this chapter, I hafta admit that I don't liek the tone this manga is heading!!!

i've always been on teh record that in the end.. there won't be another Naruto-vs-Sasuke fight which everyone wants/expects..

it will take their combined effort to kill whatever the big bad is

***BUT*** with recent revelations.. the way Tobi breaks it down for Sasuke.. seeing his reactions.. man.. the mental rape going on right now

i wouldn't be surprised if eventually Sasuke just snaps and goes ala Sephiroth

What is up with people still doubting the itachi is a good guy theory. Madara clearly states he did whatever he did not only for emo-lad but for the entire leaf village as well. Some $hite was about to go down the night of the massacre and itachi apparently bailed the entire leaf village out. Also, you say that he should have stayed and trained sasuke himself instead of doing it remotely...The entire uchiha clan...died...so imagine how it would look if he stayed in the village by himself. Every other high level clan (byakugan etc.) accountable except for him. He'd be charged with treason and executed. Besides, he would be in a better position to gather info if he was with akatsuki.

After reading that chapter I believe that Itachi was Jiraiyas spy. I think that Itachi was the person who gave Jiraiya all the informations about Akatsuki because he worked against Uchiha Madara all the time.

the scans said that Sasuke's amaterasu automatically performs by itself whenever it sees Madara's sharingan... much like a defense mechanism...

but i think somehow Itachi has allowed himself to enter Sasuke's subconsciousness in order to protect Sasuke...

seriously why the hell wouldnt jiraiya say sasuke your brother wasnt the one who actually killed the clan it was madara.

sasuke would have worked harder and trained more often if he knew he had to defeat the founder of the clan.

itachi's are not wrinkle. they are natural facial structures, he had them throughh out his entire life. Wrinkle comes with old age. What im trying to say, is that Obito's body wouldnt have wrinkles because his body's age is around Kakashi's. you're pushing your theory.

If Itachi was Jiraiya's spy jiraiya wouldnt ahve tried to kill him and Itachi would have told him that it was Madara and Pein(your former student)who are pulling strings of akatsuki..jiraiya found out abt the 9tail attack on konoha was done by madara(he himself was thinking that i was a probability) before he fought with pein..
