Has anybody entertained the idea that Madara had already infiltrated the Uchiha clan? If the clan itself was compromised, Itachi could have killed off every last Uchiha to make sure his brother was kept in safe hands by the village. This would have pissed off Madara to no end, of course, unless Itachi (to that point regarded as the strongest of the Uchiha after Madara) told Madara that he was testing his strength and wanted to become even stronger. Madara decides Itachi must be a cold, relentless killer to be willing to off his family and friends; he agrees to take Itachi in. Itachi can then keep his eyes on Madara, while staying in contact with Sasuke. It would also explain Madara's saying that he protected the Leaf Village. A bunch of corrupt Uchiha running around spells trouble.

its really not that interesting. we expected sasuke to get ms somehow.

after we learned madara was in on the massacre of the clan we assumed itachi may have been somewhat good.

The whole uchiha clan could be corrupt in their tradition. Itachi may have killed the entire clan knowing they were just eye farm for Madara. The only way to end the lurking threat or prevent another Bijuu attack on konoha is to kill the entire clan.

tbh i hope something really important happens because the whole uchiha story line is gettin long. its like

i want to see more of pein and the rinningan and jiraiyas story.

I know I said I wouldnt quit Naruto if Sasuke got Ms through some believeable method so I won't, but now Sasuke has Ameratsu, Tsu, and Susano? Omg Im pissed now. Sasuke gets everything handed to him on a fucking silver plater. He didnt even win, though it was a training session, and he gets this big a powerup...This is bullshit; I wish I could fail at life and get everything handed to me as well.

See what you good guy theory kids need to understand is the whole good/evil concept is subjective. What may appear good to one person is not good to another. This is blatantly obvious..

Okay enough with the b.s Itachi is f'ed in the head. And Kishi is pulling random stuff out of his buttcheeks as far as I'm concerned..

If Itachi wants Madara to die, then fine. But if thats the case he is no different than Sasuke in regards to selling out to gain power. Sasuke sold out by going to Oro and ditchin Konoha. Itachi sold out by killing his clan and becoming Madara's bitch for a few years in hope to rise up and take him out.. That's what I am understanding from the recent chapters.

He didn't kill the entire clan.

The Itachi is good theory holds water because
1. Tobi said he was good and
2. Itachi could be lying about saying that he killed the entire clan and
3.sasuke is not a credible witness.
4. Itachi haven't killed a single konoha ninja since that NIGHT

According to Madara, it was for the better. I don't see any reason for Madara to lie in such a way as to improve Itachi's image. We don't know everything that went down prior to the Uchiha massacre. We know what Itachi told Sasuke. Unfortunately, according to Madara, Itachi was lying to Sasuke. Or at least withholding a great deal of truth.

As I just said, there's a lot more blanks to be filled in now, explaining why Itachi killed the entire Uchiha clan. Was it just to get in Madara's inner circle so he could more aptly protect Sasuke down the line? Was Madara already known to and influencing the clan, something Itachi knew would come back to harm both he and Sasuke?

Just as most people quit believing Itachi could be good when new evidence supported the fact that he was a d-bagger, people will start believing Itachi could be good when new evidence supports it. A, or one of the, main villain just stated to Sasuke that Itachi was not acting out of a desire to test his strength, but rather to protect the world, his village, and his brother. I'm among the crowd who believes Madara probably knows more about the situation than you or I. Therefore, Itachi was good. For the time being.
