Underline1: If Itachi was a spy he couldn´t act like a friend of Konoha because if he would have done that his role as a spy would have been revealed. Also Jiraiya was probably not intrested in loosing his spy because he needed a spy in Akatsuki. So Jiraiya and Itachi knew that they can´t act like friends when they met. So they had to act as if they were enemys. Also Jiraiya wasn´t that serious in my opinion. He could have used the Hermit Mode to fight Itachi and Kisame. But he only used that Frog Stomach Jutsu. I think that Jiraiya calculated that Itachi and Kisame will escape.

Underline 2: Madara know that Itachi was working against Akatsuki and he didn´t do anything against Itachis actions.

I think the uchihas were going to attempt to take control of the village and thats why the order to execute them was made.

Madara could use this to his advantage.

We all know how revenge driven and honor bound Sasuke is.

If Madara could get Sasuke to blame Konoha for the death of his clan, and the death of his brother, then Madara could have a worthy ally.

It would explain why Itachi would want to the truth about him to stay quiet.

So Sasuke wouldnt go after konoha for revenge and have a reason to join Madara.

If that´s true a rematch between Sasuke and Naruto is going to happen soon. I think that Sasuke will be manipulated by Madara because a guy who can manipulate Uchiha Itachi is able to manipulate Sasuke too.

I think that Sasuke is going to seek revenge on Konoha. So he probably will face Naruto and co. again. They will probably fight and in the end Sasuke will see that Madara was just using him. Then he will join Konoha again in order to fight against Madara and his evil plans.

I know that sounds pretty much like a fan fic but I really hope that Sasuke will join Konoha in the future.

so it could be the oldest clan in of the village if they were older than the Uchihas but that doesn't mean that they should have been a part of the village until after it was created

Maybe the Hyuuga clan and all those other clans, Nara, Achimichi, Yamanaka ect. Maybe they were allies with the Senju clan for a long time.

Don't hurt the minds of the Sasuke fanboys. I don't think they have gotten over the fact that Itachi was good. So basically Sasuke killed a good guy.

But Maybe thats the event Kishi was talking about that will happen at the end of the year to kakashi. He fights Sasuke and become hokage. Although I don't like it I can see it happening.

Naruto and sasuke wont fight until the very end.

If danzou knew about itachi, why did he send sai out to kill sasuke? i think sasuke will be the ultimate villian in this series. It will be uchiha vs senju at the end again...

Your right it would be slaughter but Nauto will get the scroll Minato left behind soon. I think that he will be on Sasukes level after he received the scroll.

Well now, the reason Itachi didn't want to fight Jiraiya is clear

Saying he would die against Jiraiya didn't make much sense to me, seeing how powerful he was.

I'm still curious as to why he decided to use Tsukiyomi on Kakashi though. Kakashi could have been killed

I mean he couldn't give away his cover. Spies do that all the time in movies. They beat up their allies to maintain trust from the enemy.

And finally I am not the only one who says Itachi had nothing to fear from Jiraiya. It would have been a close battle but there is no way he would be scared of him.

So is no one else wondering why there's a distinct lack of Senju clan left in the presesnt Narutoverse? or is everyone just taking as read that Madara slaughtered them and that's why VOTE happened?

I'm really interested to find out what happened to them and also why they were considered the strongest of the clans along with the Uchiha, I mean obviously they had the first as their leader but there must have been some ability they had that made them so formidable and it wasn't the use of wood element as only Hashirama could use that so what elevated them to a level where they were equal to the Uchiha.

That's what I've been saying, and that's why I believe Danzou sent Sai after Sasuke. They had Sasuke under the reigns while he lived in Konoha, they could keep track of him and he would never try to summon the Kyuubi because he would never find out it was possible. However, once he left and became a rogue ninja chasing Itachi, the rules changed. It was no longer safe to assume he wouldn't find out about the Kyuubi and, for one reason or another, try to summon it once more. In addition, Sasuke became a rogue ninja so he could assassinate a Konoha shinobi in Itachi. If Itachi was a member of ROOT, would Danzou stand by as a rogue Uchiha went after him?

Somehow, the Sandaime and the village elders, must have found out about the Uchiha's summoning the Kyuubi (if that is how things happened)

Sarutobi was devastated by the loss of the Yondaime, the strongest ninja the village had ever produced, and the countless other lives that were lost in the event, and he wouldn't let that happen again.

The other village leaders obviously agreed, and Itachi was the obvious choice as the one who would be the one to solve their problem. No one else was strong enough or right for the job, and being the elader of ANBU, Danzou probably planned the attack with him

Sasuke lived because he was innocent and because Itachi loved him. He was the youngest Uchiha that we know of, so there's a possibility he was spared

1. Because he didn't know about the Uchiha conspiracy (if it exists)
2. Because Itahci could never kill him
3. Because Konoha didn't want to completely destroy the Uchiha, just the ones invovled with the conspiracy. Afterall, they were the most powerful clan in Konoha, and a major source of power for the village.

Itachi was like the equivalent of a double agent, and he likely knew full well that he was going to die for Konoha and his brother. I also have no doubt that Jiraiya probably suspected Itachi's goals if he wasn't in more contact than that
