Ok like I was saying I like the idea that Madara participated in the murder of the clan precisely because they left him out to dry basically. Maybe they didn't want to fight anymore. Who knows?

And I think its golden week next week.

Yeah I was just about to remind you about that, so we got 2 weeks to discuss this lol..

Honestly I cannot see why Sasuke would be mad at Konoha unless hes just a moron. I mean it says only 4 people know the truth about Itachi. And now its really just 3 people.. This means the current hokage doesn't even know. This also means the 4th didnt know either. I think if Sasuke suddenly begins to just "hate" konoha in its entirety, he would be jumping the gun. You cant hold an entire country responsible for three people.

While I would like to think the third wouldnt participate in this, he would surely know beforehand regardless. Letting it happen anyway, he might as well have ordered it since he did nothing to stop it. Uchihas in general are just truely wicked and sinful characters.

Yep damn golden week means there's going to be a truckload of fanfiction written between now and 2 weeks when we find out more! Reams and reams of forum pages shall be sacrificed the truths about yondaime, sandaime, shodaime shall all be question in sacrilege by the half-hearted bandwagon jumpers who don't trust the will of fire! /rant

This chapter proved some things beyond dispute, Madara killed his brother! the ONLY WAY to obtain MS and EMS is through killing. so i hope that debate finally stops.

Madara lets out a little laugh when sasuke agrees to listen to his 'truth' which he blatantly claims he cannot prove and says no one else will be willing to divulge even though they know about it. sounds fishy. in fact he goes to great lengths to establish tht he is the only source of this 'truth' before starting his story. that seems dodgy to me especially coming from someone like him.

I think this chapter provides another key hint to the tobito theory (yes i'm still going on about it) on page 18 madara talks abt the uchiha clan having two distinctive features, the sharingan and their 'strong' chakra. This chakra is so fearsome and sinister that even kyuubi noticed it! I think that is where the explanation lies (and my specualtion begins), madara's sinister chakra refused to be extinguished even though his body was no longer a good enough container his eyes had the light that was inextinguishable but the rest of his body had aged and couldn't keep up, in its desperation to continue to exist it encountered a suitable host and possessed it!

one thing i am not so pleased about is that this history of the narutoverse seems to have been restricted by konoha being formed only 80 years ago. I hope the history beyond that is long and complex so that people like the sage of the six paths are literally stuff of myth and legend.

Overall this chapter just whetted my appetite and I cannot wait till the next chapter! Well done kishi on producing another riveting read.

P.S the chapter was a full 19 pages this time around btw, but there were a few too many panels of sasuke looking like a spike had just been thrust into his behind and then of him tied up. In any case well done on that and a very well drawn coverspread.
