Itachi doesn't necessarily need to specifically dictate exactly what happens in the genjutsu. It might just be a genjutsu that makes the opponent see his closest connections turn on him... that would be pretty effective no matter who you're against.

Damn not for nothing but kishi had to put these 2 images next to each other to set us up for something, the similarities are undeniable, kind of like the fourth and Naruto..... Pain/Yahiko and Naruto look to much alike to go unnoticed....... perhaps YAHIKO is Naruto's half brother from kushina who had a child early on and abandoned or lost him when the whirlpool country was being undone, and she was forced to leave ending up in konoha and having a second child with minato..... also this is a good way of kind of comparing Naruto to Sasuke in the sense that they both have to fight their older brothers?..... I dont know maybe Im thinking to much into it kinda like Jman about Madara........

problem with this theory is...thats not nagato's original body...and its said to be yahiko if im not mistaken

no sd, I think you misread my post I said Yahiko/pain, because now yahiko is a part of pain or one of them, thats why I later referred to him as just pain. my bad.

Pain has orange hair, Naruto has blonde. IMO, that shoots down any theory about relation between the two.

And yes, I know that it is very possible for brothers or half-brothers to have different hair colors, but I think that if Kishi was going to make that a plot twist he would have made Pain blonde as well to show the slight possibility, like he did with Yondaime from the very beginning (and sure enough, TONS of people speculated Minato being Naruto's dad from way early on).

^ i agree, besides Tsunade said that Kushina grew up in Konoha so there is no possibility that she had a child at her native country.

well the reason I came up with the half brother theory is because Kushina was a red head as was pain/yahiko (dont know where the red hair came from because nagato had black hair, so Im assuming that the red hair is yahiko's), and also Naruto is a combo of minato's hair but he has Kushina's face and eyes..

I know its a theory full of holes but its not out of the realm of possibilities.....

i think naruto is senju sp*. wasn't it said somewhere that only a senju could wear the 1st's necklace?

i think i read some were in the manga that the necklace gave the 1st the powers to control biju and us mokuton.

The necklace was given to tsunade, who survived.

She gave it to her brother and dan, who both died while wearing the necklace.

Tsunade then BELIEVED she was the only one who could wear the necklace, but she then gave it to naruto, and he's survived, and still wears it.

So no, a senju isn't the only one who can wear it.

The necklace allows YAMATO to control the kyuubi because he has the 1sts DNA.

We haven't really been told the purpose of the necklace. Why it is able to help control the Kyuubi. I think on of the three great treasures of Imperial Japan is some sort of necklace. The answer may be buried in the history of that piece of jewelry.
