This thread is meant for members to provide any suggestion or ideas they may have for the news letter. So, let's hear them...

4thseal, I read your PM. I'll probably be getting in touch with you a little later. But for now, I put some formatting ideas in a PDF file (when I should have been doing homework, but it's okay because I had fun doing this).

I would send it to you privately, but I felt that some things were just too good to keep between us. When you read it, you'll know what I mean.

Maybe you missed it, but we did two members of the month in the last issue...and we'll continue doing them =)

Rper of the month is something that's definitly a possibility...

Honestly, as a faithful RP'er that wouldn't be bad at all for KM and other rp's to get some attention but I don't think it would be fair to have a special member JUST for the rp'ers.

I think we should stay with Members of the Month but continue to look in a variety of places like the GFX section or RP section for people who tirelessly offer help. Or you could create members of the month for certain categories, but my main point is that I think it should be pretty fair. Some may not leave their sections so they have no publicity over all around the forums so I think it would be good to keep going as planned along with digging a bit deeper (I'm not saying none of you haven't; just a suggestion) for good posters and helpers.

I was thinking of something like half to a full page for comic book reviews? with the upcoming X-force, Young X-men, Cable, a whole bunch of Wolverine comic books, the secret invasion all hitting the shelves soon and the drastic style changes in the Ultimates it could come off as an interesting read plus potentially kick up activity in the section.

^I agree. I'd like to see reviews of comics as well. I don't often read comics, so it would be great to hear what other people think what's good and what isn't.

If you could even give some shine on the less popular, but just as good comic book characters, that would a bonus, but I like the comic idea.

A comic book review is definitly something we can do, especially if there's intersts in it as there seems to be here. I think it'd also be neat as we could probably get it to link to the comic section, in some way or another, and that'd bring more interests to that section. So, hopefully, you'll see the comic review in the next issue

Yup, we have run the list of awards given in past a issue, and we'll run it again for sure. It is, unfortunately, too late to get the list in this month, so expect it in Issue #6 of Exposed .

^just relized i slipped up here >.<. I meant that the comic review will be in March's issue, as Feburary's Issue (issue #5) will be out in only few days. Just wanted to make that clear.

I should be the Lounge's Member of the month, every month, why haven't you fixed this yet?

Anyway, it would be cool, to have a monthlyh 'lulz off' a number of people enter, the Grand Lulz off Thread, Judges are selected (a grand total of 3, probably lounge oldies, or people with a good mind for lulz) and people produce their single, pieces, of lulz, wether it be a picture, a video, or quite simply a joke, THEN, the winner is announced in the monthly issue.

We need Moar lulz in these issues.

^That's an interesting idea. I do see how the lounge has been under-reported, so I'll try to get an article about a lounge thread out in issue #6. It'll be short, though, as we're watching out space and page count, so it'll probably be an abstract of a lounge thread that'll encourage people to check that thread out.

As for the "lulz off" idea, it sounds cool, though I don't think we'll be covering something like that each month as there is quite a few interesting threads in the lounge each month and variety and the literary breath therein would be good to see. However, if member's were starting these "lulz" battles the lounge on there own, I'm sure that they'd be covered at least some of the time.

How about a section Highlight artical,

Basically an artical on sections and the people of mention related to those sections. The whos who in a given section and what happens in there.

For example I know who the main people are in the general discussion, and Debates (all) , and General anime and Manga sections. But I have no clue what is going on in Tech, Lounge, Arts, or the specific naruto and bleach sections, etc.

And i kind a want to know.

Relates somewhat to previous posts in this thread.

That's definitely a good suggestion. It'd be neat to promote the less covered sections in general, allowing people to get to know about those sections better. One concern that rises for me, is that we really can't cover naruto and bleach manga without giving out spoilers. And, another issue would be space, i don't think this could be a full page thing, most likely half a page at best.

So, we are thinking that rather than writing articles about each section, we'd have a small article at the end which provided suggested threads to check out from almost every section and links to those thread. Hopefully, we'll be able to get the mods to pick a "recomended thread" from their respective sections that they'll believe are interesting reads. That way we're not giving aways any spoilers, and people will still be encouraged to click the links and explore the sections they may usually ignore.

Or at the very lest a brief overview of what a section is about and how it works would also be helpful.

or even a whos who on Naruto mania could be cool. So new people can know whome to ask for help.
