One Piece Manga Chapter 511 Discussion

Man, what am I supposed to report to that Punk guy.

[Sentoumaru, BG (bodyguard?) of Dr. Vegapunk, the Science team leader of Marine HQ]

Luffy and co looks startled. Kuma (PX1)'s attack begins.
Luffy and others run away, they split up to run. (Luffy, Robin, and Chopper team: Zoro, Brook, Usopp team: Sanji, Nami, Franky team)

Kuma appears in front of Sanji's team, and Sentoumaru in front of Luffy's team.
Luffy attacks with Gatling, but Sentoumaru deflects it with a hari-te (palm attack Sumo move).
Around the same time, there's a flash of light where Zoro's team is, and Zoro has fallen.
Kizaru tries to finish off Zoro. Usopp and Brook attacks Kizaru, but their attacks goes through him.

Kizaru: It's no use.... I'm a Light Logia man, of pika pika fruit. (pika is sound of light, light-light fruit)
Robin tries to move the fallen Zoro with her hana hana ability
Kizaru: I won't even let you move him.... It's no use, you're going to die now---!!!

Everyone: Zoro----!!!

Something reflects Kizaru's attack!

Kizaru: ... Is this the time for you to show up? Hades Lord Raleigh....!!!
Raleigh: Don't pluck the young sprouts... Their era is just starting....!!!
Luffy: Old man!!!

End

I am wondering what this means for sunny, but having been aliied with Rayleih publicly even temporarily is going to do alot for Luffy's name imo. Things are shaping up pretty nicely, I wonder where Garp is though... sob is taking his time.

I wonder if Rayleigh had enough time to coat sunny. I mean, if you think about it in OP time, they just split up with raileigh minutes before they were attacked by the kumabot.

thats what I meant when I said I was wondering about sunny. There's just no way the coating is done. Even if it were a few hours Rayleigh quoted the SH days. I guess well have to see how the situation works itself out.

I was really hoping Rayleigh wouldent show up again until the coating was done. It couldent possibly have been three days already. More like minutes as Tony said.

A kumabot seems more useful than a battleship to me. Any somewhat cunning pirate has a chance of taking down a battleship, depending on who is in command, but you need to be at a certain level to take a pacifista. Mass produce them into the 50's or hundreds, post them on islands along the first half of the grandline and a sharp decline in pirates you will see.

uMMMMMMMMMM since no one else seem to have mentioned it let me be the first to say, Damn this is another great chapter. Oda is doing an amazing job with this manga.

I really didn't think that ki zaru was going to go after the straw hats first. However since kuma bot attacked luffy and company directly after leaving rayleigh it makes since that he heard the explosions form that fight and would come back to check it out. On one side of things the straw hats seem to be really lucky some times, but on the other hand they seem to have some very bad luck to go along with that good luck. One last thing too, Rayleigh is completly bad ass to be able to deflect a speed of light kick.

Even with seastone shoes it doesn't really stop the hax of a logia especially those who moves at light speed like kizaru or enel.

I don't think it has anything to do with seastone. From my impression it's probably Haki being used to fight rather than knock out surrounding weaklings. If knocking out weak ppl is all it could do there would be no point introducing it in the first place.
In addition there was a comment by Aoihige on AP that Luffy was actually hurt by Sentomaru's fist in a similar fashion to how Garp hurt him. Plus Sentomaru says he has no DF ability. Unless he's got seastone gloves on we're about to see some new developments with OP fighting.

I would say both Rayleigh and Sentomaru use Haki to fight, Luffy will likely have to learn a bit in order to fend off Sentomaru. Since he's already shown the capacity for it w/ Duval's bull I think it's very likely Luffy starts to figure it out here and now.

It could be that you train your spirit to attack or defend making you many times more powerful. Seems kinda like nen to me.

Luffy needs to learn how to do what Rayleigh did.

lol luffy ain't learning that at that level for some time.

Damn Rayleigh is a beast but what a beast Kizaru is- he didn't even flinch when he saw the Dark king. When Garp enters the fray how the hell are they gonna escape unless Garp secretly helps Luffy escape

All I can say is this chapter f'n owned, to sum up this chapter=epic win. Was so freaking awesome!!!!! I'm so happy I don't read spoilers
