All I can say is that if you believe watching Naruto is a sin, than your life must be fairly boring and restricting, because its just a cartoon.

Srsly....how is this a debate? I don't think the scriptures says anything about watching anime seeing as how they did'nt have tv or anime back then. The only thing I can think of is the verse where it say not to worship worldy images and idols as if in your worship Naruto like a God or something. Hell if that the case no Christians should watch TV for that matter or just lock themselves in a room and read the Bible...yeah right...dumb thread.

Why does it have to be Naruto? Why can't it be any other cartoon?

Such small thinking. There are tons of programs out there that are ALOT worse to watch than Naruto. This is like picking a 9mil to a SAM launcher to say which is worse. They both can kill but the other and countless others are far worse than the handgun.

I'm a Christian and I watch it too. I think it's fine to watch it and enjoy it. Just don't love it too much. Anything can become a sin if you get obsessed with it.

It doesn't have sex or drugs though... actually... I guess a couple of jounins got together, but we never see that.

It seems like many parents are much more offended by their kids seeing things that involve drugs and sex. Violence doesn't seem to matter as much to many of them.

Well. They have alcohol. Sake, Remember. And apparently some nudeness. Or what you call Narutos all-known certain ninjutsu.

It isn't nudity since we don't see any nipples or anything. There may be alcohol consumption in Naruto, but a lot of the young people in many anime series make a point of saying that they are underage when somebody offers them alcohol.

It's really not about the violence or whatever. It's more about the references to the occult, ie: demons, elemental 'magic', etc. Some extremely conservative Christians have a problem with that. One of my cousin's mom doesn't let her kids watch pretty much any anime, or cartoon that she refers to as 'the devil's work'. Just like lots of Christians say that if you read Harry Potter, you go to hell. Stupid arguments rooted on ignorance, and fear.

My dad was the same way when I was growing up but now he watches all kinds of movies and shows. I guess when you really live by that for so long you eventually get tired and say fuck it. It's like trying to quit smoking...

Adam and Eve,, Kicked out of the garden of Edan because they took more then they needed right now by being on the internet you are taking more then you need to survive and yet there are people starving that sin that was commit,, or at least wrote about is being continuously made by all of us pretty much every second of everyday
