...don't mean squat here without a reasonable argument to why that is your opinion. What is your opinion based on? Simply because someone told you when you were a kid is not a good answer. Explain how you came to such a conclusion, not just your end conclusion itself. A conclusion without any substantive basis is nothing more than an opinion. If you wish to opine... [/O'Reilly] *this will be posted in both General and Religious Debates. The context below does not isolate one of the two sections.* Example:
That is the wrong way. Nothing of this post convinced me of anything. Of course there are religious undertones and justifications in any war because cultural religious values exist everywhere. Instead he should have shown specific instances in which religious doctrine led to a war rather than a king or despot having ulterior motives and merely being empowered by the religious implications. Anyone could easily argue that war is a byproduct of human nature as could be that religion is as well. Just think about that when you post. FYI: I hid some sticky posts. Some were archaic rules that nobody follows anyways. Rules without consistent enforcement are silly and only promote lack of respect for rules and authority*. The threads may come back at a later time being condensed into one post. The sticky'd area was just too redundant. *To not be guilty of opining: Look at data regarding "red light running" at intersections with and without photo enforcement. Despite that it's equally unlawful (class C misdemeanor) at both.
