I lol'd that was a good one. If the whole world is gonna make it seem like They're so much cleaner then China they can GTFO. Every fuckin country is the same. Only reason why they might be a bit cleaner is cause they don't have a billion+ people living in their country.

The chinese went all out with the ceremony. Damn, $50 billion (although I'm sure the building of the stadium is included). It was great though, I loved the country parade. I got to see D.Wade, and the people for Cuba.

The cuban female volleyball team is favored to medal, they're gonna be tough to take.

I cant wait till the federer nadal rematch.

I have full confidence it will be those two fighting for the gold medal.(they are on opposite ends)
I can see blake going far to, maybe bronze.
But the gold and silver belong to nadal and federer, no question.
The only real question, which takes gold and which takes silver.

I think federer is out to exact some revenge.

You're forgetting Djokovic. He might be fighting right there beside them for a place in the final

As far as Blake goes I'd say he'll probably make 3rd round.

What surface is the tournament played on does anyone know?

Was a great opening. But it bugged me that Yao Ming's kid had an upside-down flag. Although maybe that doesn't carry the same symbolism it carries in the US.

Tennis: Andy Murray is also in some really good form and took Nadal close in both of their recent matches. Ofcourse, Djokovic beat Nadal in their last match at the Cincinatti Masters (with Murray winning the final against Novak)

There are some potential pitfalls for both Federer and Nadal making the final with Nadal facing either Hewitt or Bjorkman as early as Round 2 and Federer potentially facing Croatian giant Ivo Karlovic (who knocked him out of the Cincinatti masters) in the 3rd Round.

The Williams sisters are on opposite sides of the draw too so it might be a Gold-Silver for the family!

Team GB has a legitimate shot at winning Gold in the women's Team Archery (ranked 2nd in the world) but Korea are favourites and China are strong too.

Swimming: Here comes Michael Phelps!!

Basketball: Yao Ming vs The Dream Team

Football (men): some great clashes including USA vs Netherlands and Australia vs Argentina!

Full schedule for Day 2

Djokovic(and please people dont attack me, im actually an avid tenniss player and watcher, i just happen to have a certian opinion) still seems to need improvement in many areas of his game. That said however, i have not ruled him out at all, he is a fast rising star...but i have a gut feeling that blake is going to show us somthing this olympics, like he did in athens with that incredible match againts agassi....blake is hungry.

Here's my advice to the other men swimmers.

If phelps sets another world record in the act of taking his 8th gold...think of silver and bronze as gold medals, becuase those are your only two options..srsly.

I don't see how the U.S. wins the medal count... They're slipping in areas they used to be good at, and China, I think, is gaining in areas it never has been good at.

Default Re: Beijing Olympics 2008!

sometimes its good to see nations go at each other, but sometimes you have to see those like Phelps in a league of their own. After seeing him in Athens, I just see him as a one man team lol. Once he gets older he will start to fade off and then retire. He still can do London, i don't think he will be as good in 2016 as he is now cause he will be old.

Its hard to have a world record breaker in the team and rare to come by, last time USA had someone that can match up to him was almost 30 years ago, Mark Spitz. But yeah, i'm going for China but there's no way they can win against Phelps lol. At least we got one silver, a first for China's swimming team. woooo

I can already see the headlines, Phelps: 8 gold medals and 5 world records? haha! if not, 7 gold!
