Default Re: MLB Season 2008

I hope Richie Sexon bats a little higher than .205 this year. Maybe a few more home runs wont hurt too. Erik Bedard and Carlos Silva should make this year more interesting for the Mariners.

The MVP this year for the AL and NL will be surprising this year in my eyes.

@Mapato

Richie Sexson is one of my favorites and I hope he bats well this year as well. I'm hoping Adrain Beltre has a breakout year as well.

Sexson isn't that great. He has amazing power but lacks H-E co.

Is Ken Griffey Jr. healthy this year? I would like for him to reach 600 already.

the braves might win it all despite a couple bad breaks already.

NL MVP is hopefully Andrew Jones (still pissed at braves for not resigning even if it was for 30 million)

AL MVP A-Rod

Now a rundown of what I care about: Frenchy haveing a breakout year, Matt diaz batting over .350, Chipper returing to MVP form, and the Braves winning it all. Oh by the way I love the Braves.

Actually I am glad Andruw no longer is no longer here. I'll miss his D but not his batting.

Anywho, the braves are hot right now, and I'm enjoying it.

Smoltzy pitched great , but the bats went to sleep. He went 7 with 1 earned and lost the game.

Don't forget 10k. It happens. Smoltzie is 3-1 with a 0.78 Era now I think.

sexton just went to the yanks. i think it's official that barry bonds isnt gonna play this year.

i'm not an NL guy, so i'm wondering how any of you NL fans feel about the mets. are they for real? they started off the second half continuing their streak. i'm wondering how that will play out, especially considering that santana hasnt even really been shown how good he can be yet.

on the AL side of things, i'm just wondering what's gonna happen to the rays in the second half of the season. they limped into the break, but i'm hoping that they can at least hold of the yankees in the wild card race.

According to whitesox.com, "The White Sox have acquired Ken Griffey Jr., the sixth-leading career home run hitter, according to a source. Word awaits on whom the Reds will get in return."

Is this good for the Chicago White Sox? What they had was apparently working, and being in first place in their division for over 100 days in a row is proof of that.

Personally I love the trade. Ken Griffey Jr has been one of my favorite players for a while and his charisma will fit well in Chicago in my opinion.

So, what do you think, is Griffey good or bad for the ball club?

I'm hoping Beckett can pull off a good one in game three.
