Holy shit the Blazers are STACKED. Bayless AND Darrell Arthur. WTF, and they are getting Oden, plus they have Roy and Aldrige. Talk about talent.

Yeah, but talent doesn't equal championships. The Lakers found that out the hard way. If the Blazers work hard and are properly coached, thier talent may come to fruition in about 2-3 years.

It was a bad idea Minny giving up Chalmers, they traded him b4 they knew they were gonna get Love. I am happy that in the Mayo-Love swap they got Mike Miller and gave up horrible contracts in Antione Walker and Jaric.

Wow Baron Davis has a deal in place w/ the Clippers, and then GoldenState countered by offering Elton Brand a max deal! Some good drama goin here.

Even though it is a little more reflective on how good a team is than other sports, I still pretty much ignore preseason results. Preseason against other rooks and c-ranks isn't going to convince me that the Heat are that much better. But I do see them winning about 20 more games than last year. But the East is getting better. So I see them next year fighting for 8th. But after a few years I see them back in the thick of the top, especially after Detroit fades away.

It's summer league. You can't draw any conclusion from that, I'm just posting the results of the game.

Its still cool to watch rooks play even if its meaningless. I wanna see Portland, they'll prolly have the majority of their team in the summer league.

I'm happy Miami got Beasley. If they all stay healthy they'll most definitely get to the playoffs. I also still dying to watch Greg Oden play a game.

I am sorry to say it Tony, but I get the feeling that Beasley is going to have the type of success that Durant had. He will put up numbers, but the team is still going to have a difficult year. Anyone else hear about Maggette says he will take a pay cut if he can play for Doc Rivers? Does that just seem so unfair to anyone else?

I don't think it means too much unless he's willing to take a big paycut along with a huge dive in minutes. Not like he wouldn't play, but he can only fit in at the 3 and maybe the 2. Boston isn't going to start him over Paul Pierce or Ray Allen. Frankly I think he should stay where he is and keep his mouth shut so long as Brand comes back. With Magette Brand and Davis the Clippers can make the playoffs for the first time in the history of mankind. With that in mind the Clippers are going to get a huge attendence boost out of Baron, he's from LA and PGs like him are few and far btwn. Of course that's only if he plays 70+ games next season. Still, think of how evil that team is if that guy is coming of the bench and is one of the lesser players at his positions?

| Jounin | The only similarity between the two is their height. The roles they will be expected to play are vastly different. Namely in the fact that Beasley is not going to be forced to lead the team. He can go at his own pace, and not force to much.

Rep Power: 25 ![]() ![]() ![]() | evil? To me all it means is that they have too many fowards. Magette doesn't give them anything they don't already have except extra depth. Unless he has no ego I think he's gonna be more of a problem than anything else as the season moves on. He's going to go from a starter on almost any team to a bench player who gets maybe 20 minutes a game. I think he'd make good material for Boston to trade and try to fix the hole at the 5 but other than that I don't see it helping them much. Pierce does everything Magette does and is a better shot from outside.
