The first episode was fairly solid, not the best this season, but this season has been damn good so far. I'm definitely going to be watching this one unless it suddenly takes a turn for the worse.

It's probably safe to assume that they know most people who will watch this will have either read the manga or seen the first show, so they're trying to not bore us, and doing quite a good job.
